At first I was skeptical and concerned about this being a scam operation. But I followed through and now have the most beautiful puppy. Wish I could have had some communication with the breeder, not just the Pawrade employees. But all is well that ends well.

We received our four month old puppy on February 1 and she was just what we wanted. We fell more in love with her every day. After six weeks she got ill and we took her to our vet. He thought she had eaten something she shouldn’t have. Her blood tests weren’t good but we took her home with medications. After two days she was worse so we went back to our vet. He took an X-ray and blood tests and she had some string in her stomach and her blood tests were much worse. We gave him the go ahead for surgery. We went back the next day to pick her up and the news was devastating. She was very sick and almost surely terminal. She had pyloric hypertrophy. The vet had tried to correct it but it hadn’t worked. After surgery, he put dye in and the dye couldn’t make it out of her stomach. He told us he could send her home with medication but the outlook was not good at all. I asked if we were just prolonging her suffering and he said that he didn’t believe there was any way she could survive. We made the incredibly difficult decision to euthanize her. It’s been three weeks and we still feel like we’ve been gut punched. Varying between sad and mad and trying to make sense of it. Then Pawrade’s insurance company let us know that they didn’t feel euthanasia was necessary. I guess we were supposed to make her go through hell and hope for a miracle. We will never do business with them again. They are a glorified puppy mill. I gave Pawrade’s insurance company our veterinarian’s phone number as our vet had encouraged me to do but they refused to call our vet for further information. Also, our pup was 5 1/2 months old. The vet had removed the string. Had that been what was wrong, we would still have her.

We are very sorry to hear that the pup fell ill about 6 weeks after delivery. Unfortunately, the documentation provided to us has not made it possible for us to issue coverage for the illness. Both of the issues noted by the vet can be congenital or acquired and the vet made no indication. Our Health Guarantee does cover many congenital conditions but they have to be diagnosed as so. It is also important to note that our Health Guarantee is to ensure that the pup arrives healthy , as it did, and guarantees against certain congenital conditions, it is not insurance. We do also provide 30 days of complimentary Metlife health insurance as well but the customer chose not to extend the coverage or choose coverage from another vendor that would have helped here. The vet also notes string in the pups stomach which can also restrict flow. The vet also noted that the pup has "very stunted growth, only 30 lbs at 6 months old " yet the pup was less than 4 months and at an ideal size and weight. These notes by the vet are very confusing and raises questions. Each of the two issues are also known to be treatable yet the decision was made to euthanize with no documentation by the vet as to why this solution was suggested.
First time buying a puppy and this was a very easy, smooth and exciting experience from this company. (For the record this is my experience.) Everyone in contact with was helpful, answered all my questions, kept me up to date on the puppy and his conditions and progress. I chose the airport arrival and even that was easy and smooth! I would highly recommend

Smooth experience all the way through. I was nervous buying a puppy online so I requested a conference call with the breeder so I could ask some questions. The call was setup quickly and all my questions were answered. I asked for a copy of vet records and videos of the puppy. Those were promptly sent. I felt comfortable to go ahead and purchase our puppy. Communication thereafter was consistent and clear and I knew what to expect. The drivers took great care of our pup and he arrived healthy and happy. He has acclimated quickly to our home and family! So thankful for Pawrade!

The entire process with Pawrade was incredibly smooth. From the very first inquiry, the communication was clear and consistent, and everyone we spoke with was genuinely helpful and friendly. We were especially impressed by the delivery. The drivers were fantastic and clearly took great care of our precious "cargo" during the trip.
