I have been a loyal Eli Lilly customer, using their Zepbound product for two years and paying them thousands of dollars out of pocket. Despite that long-term commitment, the moment I accidentally missed my prescription renewal date by just two days, the company raised the price by another $250. This experience makes it painfully clear that Eli Lilly cares far more about squeezing every last dollar from patients than about the people who depend on their medications. There was no grace period, no flexibility, no sign of goodwill toward someone who has been steadily using – and funding – their product for years. Just an immediate, punishing price hike. For a company that operates in the healthcare space and claims to be focused on improving lives, this behavior is disgraceful. It feels predatory and opportunistic, the move of a lecherous pharma company obsessed with its bottom line rather than with real human beings struggling to afford ongoing treatment. Patients deserve better than to be treated as nothing more than revenue streams.

To Eli Lilly and Company, I am writing to raise concerns about Eli Lilly's continued use of animals in research and to ask for real transparency about where those animals come from. Eli Lilly has a documented history of animal testing that goes beyond routine safety studies. In 2016, guinea pigs were intentionally given cardiovascular or renal disease and left to suffer without pain relief, because alleviating their pain would have affected the study, until Lilly decided they had no more use for them. In a study published in 2020, Lilly paid an outside laboratory to surgically open the chests of dogs and pigs and insert tubes into their blood vessels to pump in an experimental protein and observe the effects on their blood pressure and heart rate. Increasingly, it appears Lilly contracts this work out to third party laboratories rather than conducting it in house. That distinction does not reduce Lilly's responsibility. Paying another company to do this work is still funding it. I am asking Eli Lilly to publicly disclose which laboratories and animal suppliers it currently contracts with for animal testing, including any breeders supplying dogs, and to commit to a real, funded timeline for transitioning toward non-animal, human-relevant testing methods. I would appreciate a direct, specific response, not a general statement about your commitment to animal welfare.

My niece has been dealing with an ongoing injection issue for nearly two months without a resolution. This level of service is appalling. I expect this to be addressed immediately. I will call you again on Friday.

The medication works. But the company is SO disorganized about getting the medication to me. Example: Text from 7/8- Your medication has shipped & will arrive in 2-3 days. Nothing arrived today. I checked delivery details using the UPS tracking number - the sender had requested my medication be returned. I am preparing to call Eli Lilly when I receive another text message - Your medication has shipped and will arrive in 2-3 days. No tracking number. I called Eli Lilly, spoke with a rep who gave me a new tracking number. As soon as I was off the phone I checked UPS tracking. THE PACKAGE WAS NEVER SENT - again Eli Lilly had requested the package be returned to them - and it has NEVER BEEN SHIPPED!!! So I called Eli Lilly again. The excuse was that sometimes the weather is too hot or too cold. REALLY?? The agent advised when a new tracking order is available, I will receive it via text - again. Here's the problem: UPS is the absolute worst shipper out there. I know this because THIS IS THE THIRD EFFING TIME IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY MEDICATION ON TIME - and every one of those times the package has been returned to the shipper. THEY HAVE MY $$$ - a LOT of it. Eli Lilly is only concerned with profit, not with caring for the patient. All told, due to their insistence upon using the POS UPS as the shipper, I HAVE GONE WITHOUT MEDICATION FOR 31 DAYS over the past 6 months. Not a very good record, is it? The too hot, too cold excuse is BS. The medication (4 tiny vials) comes in a 16" X 24" box, surrounded by ice - which is still completely frozen when the package arrives. The ice is surrounded by Styrofoam packing. The package is designed to isolate those 4 vials in protection from excessive heat and cold. The efficacy of the medication is irrelevant if the company won't utilize a reputable company to deliver it. The medication only works when I can use it.
