Leibish & Co.Reviews of leibish.com

UPDATE: I increased my rating from 2 to 4 stars after speaking with Yossi Polnauer from Leibish. He was very understanding and apologetic for the situation which was much appreciated. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I recently purchased a stone from Leibish, and while the diamond itself is adequate, I’ve had a stressful experience with shipping and customer service. When I purchased the stone, it was indicated that it was located in New York, which was not the case. The stone ended up shipping from overseas, which in and of itself would not be that big an issue (just longer delivery time). The issue was that the person that shipped the stone did not fill the paperwork out correctly. I found out there was a problem when an agent from FedEx reached out to me requesting my EIN to import the stone and telling me to fill out a form 5106. This was all very confusing as a regular consumer, so I reached out to Leibish to step in and resolve the issue. Although they did eventually get it sorted, I spent a day emailing and calling FedEx and 2 different contacts at Leibish. This situation was also complicated by the fact that the person that sold me the stone was located in their overseas office, which made timely correspondence challenging. The representatives at Leibish were friendly and helpful, but the situation shouldn’t have happened to begin with. I did end up receiving the stone and am currently debating whether it will work for my needs. The other issues I have had involve putting a reservation on a different stone to hold it. No one ever reached out to complete the purchase or clear the reservation, so I ended up talking to 3 different people at Leibish trying to get the reservation removed and my deposit refunded. One of the agents I spoke with actually contacted the person that sold me the diamond I mention above, erroneously telling them that I wished to return the stone, which caused even more confusion. The issue has still not been resolved at this point, though the third person I spoke with about it said it has been taken care of. As a final word of advice, keep an eye on the online chat function (if you use it) to be sure that someone is available to assist you. It will let you send a message when no one is online and you will just wait for a response. If my order had gone as others have stated in their reviews, with fast shipping and no problems, I would not hesitate to recommend Leibish. However, this was not my experience.

I got the best which I wanted for a long time.

Excellent prompt service. Beautiful earrings and ring!!!!

I was impressed when the rings arrived exactly when promised. Unlike most vendors out there, Leibish’s packaging was well thought-out and elegant – befitting the stature of fancy colors. And I think the jewelry department at Leibish is true experts when it comes to setting fancy color diamonds.

I like the quality of your products. However, the color of the yellow diamond on the screen and the real view was different.

I bought a ring and payment was quick and simple with very good communication. Delivery was also quick despite the need to resize it. I loved the ring, despite them not having a GIA certificate for it. There was no way to prove it was a true colored stone other than having their word. However, it did not feel like it was an appropriate engagement ring as people were unimpressed with the size and had to squint to see the color. A few months later I noticed a black speck in the diamond that wasn't there before. During spring cleaning, I lost it even though with the resizing it should have been a snug fit. They still have excellent customer service, maybe my experience would have been different with another ring.

I worked with Amir and Roland. They were both helpful, patient, and kind in a overwhelming situation. Great about communication, delivery, payments, etc.

Excellent designers and support staff made for a pleasantly surprising experience. Would definitely use again... value value value!
