I purchased a LabJack T4 and a LabJack Temperature probe EI1034. I wrote a Windows based program to monitor temperature with the temperature probe connected to the T4 unit. I kept getting "Linker" errors when trying to communicate with the T4. I had several email conversations with the LabJack support people within a 2 week period. They were always very helpful and always responded quicker than I expected. They were finally able to provide the LJM Dynamic Linking code that I needed to make my application work. I now have my Windows based program monitoring temperature in 2 locations and plan to add more temperature probes soon. The LabJack support people are great and provide excellent customer service. I gave them a 5 star rating. I would give them 10 if I could.

I have always had timely and very good support from Labjack. The Labjack T7's and UE9's I use are very capable with extensive software support for Win and ubuntu Linux. I've written app code in both C and Python with libraries which were easy to install and configure.

excellent products. I've been using them for about 20 years and they're still working great. Highly recommended!

The device (Labjack T7-PRO) works great. I purchased it more than 6 months ago and use intensively. First 2 months it was running every day (non-stop). Later I use it one day a week (12-24 hours) with different sampling modes (250Hz-0.1MHz). Have never seen a single error, or any weird behavior. The software is also installed and working without any error/problem. For the measurements with T7-PRO I use Ubuntu, Raspbian, and Scientific Linux.

The software API is rather poorly documented. This would make sense if the labjack was a $100 device, but it actually has a rather high price point, which really makes it worth considering getting real test equipment instead. The accessories are also overpriced in my opinion. For example- the LJTick-DAC is $82, and doesn't even have an enclosure or mechanically safe mounting scheme. If it did have the mechanicals solved, I really want these to work as a low cost test automation solution to standardize on, but the cost is just too high to make up for the drawbacks, when compared against using conventional test equipment.

Hi Grant, thanks for the feedback. Please let us know how we can improve the documentation related to LJM, our API. We certainly want users of all abilities to be able to understand it without any confusion. Regarding the prices of our devices and accessories we are sad that you didn't see the value but it is understandable if the API documentation already had you frustrated. Are prices are slotted in-between DIY boards and ultra-high end test equipment. LabJack offers free lifetime support, free software and an industry leading 5 year warranty. Creating a design with good accuracy, low noise, and -10V to 10V output range from a single 5V supply is not a trivial task; it requires the generation of a well conditioned negative supply voltage and a precision amp stage on top of other typical DAC circuit design considerations. For reference, there are about 1.5x as many components on the TDAC as the InAmp
We purchased several modules and they perform for years. Set and forget. Very flexible.
