Als ich die Bewertungen hier gelesen habe, war ich schon erschrocken und befürchtete das schlimmste! Unser Flug von München nach Malta und zurück war pünktlich und ohne große Überraschungen. Wir hatten die billigste Economy Variante gebucht und uns war klar, dass da nur ein max. 8Kg Rucksack inkludiert ist. Deshalb habe ich im Vorfeld bereits ein weiteres Priority Gepäck für 40€ beide Strecken hinzugedacht. Da eine Buchung über die Website, oder Lastminute.de nicht möglich war, musste ich telefonisch buchen. Die zugesagte Bestätigung per E-Mail kam nie an, so dass ich mit einem schlechten Bauchgefühl zum Flughafen gefahren bin. Bei Abflug in München hat das aber niemand kontrolliert und man hätte jederzeit auch ein weiteres Handgepäck mitnehmen können. Die Überraschung kam beim Rückflug in Malta. Am Gate wollte man auf einmal die Bestätigung der Gepäckbuchung sehen, die ich nie bekommen habe. Nach ein wenig hin und her hat der Kollege das dann im System nachgesehen und alles war fein. Fazit: bis auf die vollkommen intransparente Buchung ohne Bestätigung, war alles wie erwartet und hat tadellos funktioniert.

If you can avoid this airline, please do. We got charged €55 euros for a small piece of luggage, that was completely fine when we were coming to Malta, and the flight was half full! We should have read the reviews in advance because this has happened to others. The staff (well the ones we dealt with) seem to have no empathy towards anyone and on the actual flights, the seats are less comfortable than Ryanair which is wild considering they KM act as if they have a premium service. Avoooiiiidddddd.

I booked two flight tickets with KM Malta for Milan (reservations UNNWJF and GYQZFE) for April 2025. Due to a medical appointment, I had to cancel both. Their policy states that cancellations within 24 hours are eligible for a full refund, minus a €10 fee per ticket, which seemed fair. However, I was shocked to receive only €8 back from the €90 I paid! When I contacted customer support, I was told I exceeded the 24-hour window by just 5 hours and was therefore not entitled to a proper refund. I politely asked to cancel the refund request since I'd rather keep the tickets than receive a ridiculous €8— but was told this was impossible. I chose KM Malta over Ryanair, paying four times more for what I assumed would be better service. Instead, I was scammed out of a few dozen euros. As a frequent traveler, I will never book with this airline again, even if I have to pay five times more for a competitor. Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid at all costs!

Don't listen to all other low rated reviews Malta air is an excellent airline staff are very friendly and happy to have you onboard. I love flying with them I have never had a bad flight with them.

Comfortable airline for a small island like this. Staff was good and flight was descent. I liked it and also the livery.

KmMalta Airlines overbooked my flight and would not allow me to fly. Apparently they feel that overbooking is a perfectly legitimate practice. They were not at all apologetic, did not supply me with the form I needed to prove that I was bumped off the flight and then claimed that I was a No Show and refused to reimburse me for the Easy Jet flight I had to take instead. Terrible service. DO NOT FLY ON KMMALTA AIRLINES.
