I love, love, LOVE the concept of the Hugo Shelving Unit, but the installation was incredibly frustrating. What should have been a straightforward assembly took forever because several of the screw holes simply did not line up. We eventually had to force some of the screws in, which led to stripping them, and a few shelves are still noticeably wonky. And honestly, don’t look too closely as some shelving screws are missing altogether because the holes were so misaligned there was no way to get them in. To add insult to injury, there were zero extra screws included, which would have been especially helpful considering how easy it was to strip them while trying to make badly aligned holes work. The design and concept are fantastic, and I really wanted to love the finished product, but the manufacturing/quality control needs serious improvement. For the price, the pieces should line up properly and assembly should not be this much of a battle.
