We understand your concern and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. However, we do want to clarify a few important points. First, Huckle Bee Farms does not intentionally charge customers twice for the same order. If there was an additional charge, it was most likely related to a separate order, subscription, payment authorization, or another issue that would need to be reviewed. We would have been happy to investigate and correct any billing error. We also want to clarify that Shopify merchants do not have the ability to simply wait and charge customers upon fulfillment. The Shopify platform processes payment authorization and capture at the time of purchase unless specific payment arrangements are used. This is standard practice across much of e-commerce, particularly for made-to-order and custom products. Regarding the delay itself, over the past few months we experienced a significantly higher volume of orders than anticipated while also navigating a serious family health situation involving my wife’s chemotherapy treatments. During that time, production timelines unfortunately increased as orders moved through the infusion and bottling process. Unlike warehouse-style fulfillment companies, many of our infused honeys are handcrafted in small batches and require proper infusion time before bottling. While this created longer fulfillment times than anyone would have preferred, maintaining the quality, flavor, and freshness of the honey remained our highest priority. We also consistently communicated updates regarding production timelines and delays through our website, Facebook page, and weekly production emails. Due to the unusually high volume of emails received during this period, responses were sometimes delayed, which is why we repeatedly encouraged customers to call us directly for the fastest assistance and order updates. While we understand your disappointment, we respectfully disagree with the implication that customers were intentionally misled. Orders continued moving through production, updates were provided regularly, and any customer requesting a refund was accommodated. We understand this experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity we were given. — Jim Huckle Bee Farms

We understand your frustration and appreciate you sharing your experience. Over the past few months, we experienced a significantly higher volume of orders than anticipated while also navigating a serious family health situation involving my wife’s chemotherapy treatments. During that time, production timelines unfortunately increased as orders moved through the infusion and bottling process. We do want to clarify that the tracking number you received indicates that your order completed production and entered the shipping process. During this unusually busy period, there were occasions when labels were created before carriers physically scanned or picked up packages, which unfortunately caused confusion and frustration for customers monitoring tracking updates. We also consistently communicated updates regarding production timelines and delays through our website, Facebook page, and weekly production emails so customers could follow the status of production as conditions changed. Regarding communication, due to the extremely high volume of emails received during this period, email responses were sometimes delayed. That is exactly why we repeatedly encouraged customers to call us directly, as phone support has consistently been the fastest and most reliable way to receive assistance and order updates. As for the phone call, our business hours are posted in Eastern Time, and there are times when we may be assisting other customers, away from the desk, or handling production-related responsibilities. While we strive to answer every call, we are a small family business and are not always able to answer immediately. While we understand your disappointment with the timeline, we respectfully disagree with the implication that communication was unavailable. We continued providing updates through multiple channels and remained committed to fulfilling orders throughout this challenging period. We understand this experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity we were given. — Jim Huckle Bee Farms

We understand your frustration and disappointment, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. As a fellow veteran-owned family business, it is especially disappointing to hear that we did not meet your expectations after you chose to support us for that very reason. Over the past few months, we experienced a significantly higher volume of orders than anticipated while also navigating a serious family health situation involving my wife’s chemotherapy treatments. During that time, production timelines unfortunately increased as orders moved through the infusion and bottling process. Unlike warehouse-style fulfillment companies, many of our infused honeys are handcrafted in small batches and require proper infusion time before bottling. While that process helps ensure the quality and freshness of the honey, it also contributed to longer fulfillment times during this unusually busy period. We also consistently communicated updates regarding production timelines and delays through our website, Facebook page, and weekly production emails. We understand not every customer may have seen those communications, and we recognize that waiting without a completed order is frustrating regardless. Due to the extremely high volume of emails received during this period, we repeatedly encouraged customers to call us directly, as phone support became the fastest and most reliable way to receive order updates and assistance. While we understand your concern about whether you would ever receive your honey, we respectfully disagree with the implication that orders were abandoned or ignored. Orders continued moving through production daily throughout this period, even as timelines became much longer than anticipated. We understand this experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity we were given. — Jim Huckle Bee Farms

We understand your frustration with the delay and appreciate you sharing your experience. However, we do want to respectfully clarify a few points. First, Huckle Bee Farms is not a scam business, nor have we ever intended to take customers' money without either fulfilling their order or providing a refund upon request. We are a real family farm that has served thousands of customers over the years. Regarding the Facebook Messenger conversation, our concern was not criticism itself, but the posting of information that we believed was inaccurate before the facts surrounding the order had been fully reviewed. We believe customers have every right to share their experiences, but we also believe businesses deserve the opportunity to verify account information and investigate concerns before being publicly accused of fraud. Over the past few months, we experienced a significantly higher volume of orders than anticipated while also navigating a serious family health situation involving my wife's chemotherapy treatments. During that time, production timelines unfortunately increased as orders moved through the infusion and bottling process. Due to the unusually high volume of emails received during this period, we repeatedly encouraged customers to call us directly, as phone support became the fastest and most reliable way to receive assistance and order updates. If a refund was requested, we would have gladly processed it. We have consistently honored refund requests throughout this difficult period. We understand this experience did not meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity we were given. — Jim Huckle Bee Farms
