UPDATE: After the situation detailed below, I was convinced this was a lost cause. After a few days I received an email from Gizmogo saying the device had been received. Didn’t want to get my hopes up as this could be a system generated email. The next day I got another email saying the device passed inspection and money would be sent. The next day the money IN FULL including my coupon code appeared in my PayPal account. Fair is fair and I am happy to write this update. My rating has gone from one star to three only because this was not a smooth transaction and I feared I lost a lot of money but they did the right thing and came through. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Having similar issues to a recent review. My device, iPad Pro, they offered just under $800 for it. Gizmogo claims the order was lost in transit (UPS shows successfully l delivered but Gizmogo say it wasn't) They don't insure packages - but they're NOW telling people to insure them yourself before sending (this 100% does nothing to help me or the other reviewer, so why say it) We don’t care what you’re telling people now. We care about our money. They mentioned this is a known issue but they kept offering UPS as an option. Why?? That's really not ok. If you knew this could happen (their words on the phone not mine) then Gizmogo is at fault for knowingly offering UPS as an option and I should be paid what I was quoted. They said UPS will reimburse $108 (which I have NOT seen yet, PayPal still at zero). Now what I didn't mention on the phone is my backup plan. I work for the telecom (the phone company) and if I’m not paid for the device, I’ll be forced to label the device IMEI as blacklisted rendering it useless and nobody will be able to sell it. But in an update, today their website says they HAVE received it and even unboxed it. Yet I have not been paid. If they were trying to clear the order from their system they could’ve cancelled it or marked it complete, but someone chose to hit received and unboxed on the Gizmodo end, which to me sounds like it has been located and now the appraised value needs sent. How is that possible if they didnt receive the shipment?? All I’m asking for them to do is the right thing. A lot has gone wrong here but ultimately it’s me who is out of an iPad Pro and now no payment. Just so the right thing. Please. LOTS of stuff just not adding up. I just want the money that the device was appraised for.

I believe that all those companies buying our old electronics are in some regards fraudulent. They always try to offer a lower price. How can a tablet that has been in a case from the second it was bought have “deep” scratches that surprisingly don’t show up in photos. I guess it’s part of the game. They just try to pay the lowest price. If you’re in the market to buy something from Apple it’s best to do a trade in with them. Didn’t have any hassle with Apple but you don’t get cash if that’s what you want.

I wrote a first review for 1 star. I sent them my.phone, received a check and after I deposited it I got a chargeback for $10. So I was about -$20 because the $8 I got for my old phone was taken back too. The did solve the issue and sent me a $25 credit gift card. But I do want people to be a bit wary of this. I will not be using them again.

Pretty good service. Make sure you understand that your device will be examined for verification within 24 hours of *gizmogo* marking it as received in their system, not when the device shows delivered/received according to the shipment tracking. Devices are only examined M-F. My device was received midday on a Thursday but it was not processed for payment until the following week because it was not placed in their processing system until the end of the following business day (Friday). Other than that, the verification and payment process was essentially a business day.
