Unauthorized Charges
FPl added four (4) Home Protection Plans to my account without authorization. Two (2) of these plans were provided by a third-party and were also not authorized. Extremely poor customer service.

I'm not really sure what has happened to a company that we all have used for many years but I would not give 1 start if possible. I have the same complaints as all the other customers on here especially in the last year. I have been at my current home for 36 years and many years as a customer of FPL before that. All of a sudden I'm getting a final notices when the check was actually in the mail and had been cashed by FPL. The story is so outrageous and upsetting with 2 supervisor's later that's its not worth going into the whole drawn out nightmare. I will be making ANOTHER call at lunch time to straighten out the SAME situation I have been dealing with for weeks now. They are HORRIBLE!

I’d give 0 if I could. The absolute worst. Customer service is nice but haven’t been able to help me for over a week because their system is down and being worked on. Told to call back!!! My acct number, SS and phone number don’t work to get in to set up auto pay that I had at one time but FP stopped it because there was a fire in the electrical box on our property so they cancelled everyones accts. What a mess. Was told to call back later today hoping they have the issue fixed. I’ve heard the fixing problem excuse so many times would place a large bet on hearing it again. The worst!!!!

Genuinely couldn’t help me when I really needed it

Departments are all independent of each other with no clue what the other is doing. So the customer gets stuck with the result of whoever decided to do their job correctly that day. Unfortunatly they are a monopoly and have zero interest in actually doing better. Definetly need more options in the state.

I'm writing this with no confidence that it's going to make a difference, because what are we to do? Get our energy from someone else? This place just bullied me out of almost $600 of a property that I switched power from. I moved the service om the first week of March and they charged me all the way up until April 21st. When the power came on at my new place, the old place's power should have been turned off. When I called them about it after receiving the bill, I explained what was supposed to happen and they said that I am to pay it unless I have a confirmation email from them.. If it's their mistake, they didn't send me one, what am I supposed to do? I told them that I wanted the issue escalated to a manager and when the manager came on they simply ignored me and read off the same script that a computer would have like I had not said anything out of the ordinary at all.. Now they sent me a disconnection notice at my new service and I have to pay it with no chance of resolving fpl's mistake. They simply bullied me into paying the bill that they screwed up on!
