CVS Caremark is black box
CVS Caremark is black box. They do not communicate clearly or accurately...and decisions/processing is black box (hidden). It does seem like there should be some oversight/gov't review of their workings. They constantly say they just work the plan and plan changes... and I assume what they mean is when the corporate insurance that is using them need to reduce spending they change plans to reduce spending. It makes sense...but seems to be based on $$ and not on health coverage. It is impossible to tell since nobody ever knows what they are doing. It is like a shell game. I just wish: (a) They would communicate better. Their letters (if you get them) are horrible. and (B) They would be more transparent. I understand trying to reduce costs... but they way it happens is so unclear until you get swept up in what looks like a money grab by the plan manger and they have not alternative for RX your doctor has you on. It seems easy enough to ask for better communication and more transparency. These are two things I find lacking at CVS Caremark.
