I have a lawyer friend who once told opposing counsel, in open court, in hearing of the judge, "My firm spent more money on hookers and blow last year than it's going to cost me to get this judgment." When the judge, incredulous, asked if that was really what he'd said, his response was, "Well, Y'Honor, I am an officer of the court, and sworn to tell the truth." This candle couldn't have been a more perfect gift for anyone.
