Hi Alice. True, if you are a bargain hunter, don't use our same-day express sourcing service... It is a full-service solution for contractors who need something ASAP. However, you should checkout our price discovery site. Once you are on our product on the website, check out the button that says "discover deals". Think of this as a Google Flights for building materials. We list the price of all items from all of your nearby Home Depot and Lowe's stores so you can find the lowest price and purchase it yourself. You would be surprised, sometimes there are big price differences between different stores even from the same brand. I think this would be a much better option for you! It should make your price shopping much easier... It is currently in beta testing, so we would always love to have feedback if something doesn't work properly. We plan on coming out with a browser extension as well, to make it even easier soon. Hope you find it useful.

Hi Jim. I understand your frustration going through the checkout and order process, only to be notified shortly after that the items selected were out of stock. This happens from time to time, roughly 3% of our orders. Our inventory systems aren't always perfect, especially for some items that may have been closed-outs, overstock or other materials such as those you selected. We're doing our best to keep our systems as updated as possible, but we track 20m products per day and it takes a ton of horsepower to keep it updated every hour. Apologies again for the disappointment.

Hi Robert. I appreciate your frustration. Apologies we couldn't make it happen for you with the right price at the right time. We are at the mercy of our stocking suppliers, and their inventories and prices change quite frequently. This can sometimes create situations where we either cannot deliver, or the material price changes. I hope we can do better if you choose to order from us again.

Hi Mike. Sorry to hear we didn't have the material you requested. This happens to us on occasion, as we are at the mercy of our suppliers. We always try and help out by offering any potential replacement alternatives.

Hi. Sorry to hear about your poor experience. Regarding delivery, yes delivery cost is not a function of the price of the product being purchased. It's more of a function of having a human in a truck, driving to hand you something. So whether you order an item worth $10,000 or $4, having it personally delivered incurs the same cost. Based on your note, it appears we had trouble getting your item as well. There have been supply chain issues, and many of our suppliers don't communicate as well as we'd like. Sorry again for your poor experience. We have hand delivered over 250,000 items to our customers in the last couple of years, and we're bound to get it wrong occasionally.
