The chair lift is good. However, is there ever an alarm that goes off? About 1 a.m. there was a very loud, shrill alarm that went off. We were in bed and the chair lift was not being used. Is this normal? If so, why did it go off? It stopped in about 20 seconds. Thank you.

The control switch was installed on the righthand armrest. My son can only use his left arm. We have an Acorn which has control switches on both armrests. Rather disappointed that no one spec'd this out before hand. I really need the control switched from the right to the left armrest. Otherwise, we have to stand there and initiate action by pressing the remote control. Otherwise the chair is excellent.

It would have been perfect if the chair would have turned right at the bottom of the stairs. As it is I have to get out of the chair at the bottom, run it back up a few stairs, and then I am able to get through to what is behind the chair.

Foot support needs to be longer for people who have trouble with their legs. It would also be good if it is possible to have the foot support swivel with the chair.

Installed in no time, quiet, no problem. It would be nice if it didn't "squawk" when parked in the rotated position.
