Recieved a box with a broken plastic cap (not possible with transit, they sent it broken), and a broken bottle with oil. The other items were fluff items - a face roller and make up sponge. Very disappointed. Oh, and I ordered this box four months ago and just received it. Customer service only wanted to replace the broken items. Bad experience- wouldn't recommend.

I signed up to Birchbox hoping to get some good beauty supplies via online with possibly some nice brands & nice ingredients for myself. The website was not very user-friendly so I accidentally signed up for 2 subscriptions. When I wrote them and had to ask if I had 2 subs & asking for a refund of 1, bc the site was not very explanatory. Around that same time, i also placed a Marketplace order of some extras. Looking back I kick myself in the butt because I know better but to trust a company right from Start! Why I believed I was going to get good products & nice customer service was way too trusting of me therefore I blame alot of this on myself. But after these orders, I recieved on 2 of my cards Charge after charge, I think its was 6 charges total. So I politely asked for the cancelation to the extra sub & refunds for all the extra charges. They told me, I missed the deadline for any refunds for the extra sub. This all happened 4 months ago & for the past 4 months it has been a ton of writing back & forth to each other with me just trying to get the unknown refunds back & to even get a box. It took my July box till the end of Aug to arrive. It took my Aug box till Today!! The Marketplace order only had 3/4 of the items I ordered & so that was yet Another refund I had to fight for. Slowly, slowly over time they would refund one charge here & one charge there. Not making it right until about a week ago. So for the past 4 months they just held onto my money. I never did get any reasons why or what all the extra charges were even made for. Its like they just freely used my cards for almost 200$. Let's talk about the products now. Can any1 say "Cheap foreign JUNK??!!" Some of the bottles literally have the most GENERIC, plain looking bottles I've ever seen. The ingredients are Horrific. I recieved the wrong products that I did not choose & even had Missing products from my box! My Market place order finally arrived 4 days ago so that took about 3 months to get here. The eyeliner is dried out compleatly. And the tube of eye serum is literally the littlest bottle I HAVE EVeR SEEN!! I did not know they could even make them so tiny! Its about an in. & 1/2 long and about the thickness smaller than a pencil. One of the items that I recieved instead of the item I ordered is a "Mud Bar of soap". Again, it's foreign. It's only in a box, no seal & smells like poo... Disgusting. This past 4 months have been so stressful to ke having to constantly write them, wait for my money to be returned, get products that Suck & can't return them (not even the eyeliner that's dried out apparently!) Its just been a super bad experience, the whole entire past 4 months I've had to deal with BirchBox. I am SO surprised they have 4 stars. I truly don't understand that. I feel like my money was literally just tossed in the wind. I wouldn't dare use ANY of these products after I've read all the ingredients! This has just been horrible. I sure hope yall make out better than I did!!!

⭐️ **1-Star Review** Unfortunately, my experience with Birchbox has been extremely disappointing. I have been a customer for four months, and **three out of those four months have involved multiple issues**, which is unacceptable. I am still waiting for my **July box**, and despite contacting customer service multiple times, I have yet to receive a clear resolution. I was previously told that the box was still showing as “in fulfillment” and that a replacement would be issued. However, I still have not received it, and the tracking information provided does not even appear to work. I have repeatedly asked for an update, a working tracking number, and a realistic delivery date, but I continue to receive vague responses rather than an actual solution. What makes this especially frustrating is that I was a relatively new customer and expected a much better experience from Birchbox. Shipping issues can happen, but when **three out of four months have had multiple problems**, it becomes a pattern rather than an isolated incident. I have now cancelled my membership. I’m extremely disappointed because I genuinely wanted to enjoy the service, but the repeated issues and lack of proper communication made the experience not worth it. Customers deserve reliable service, transparency, and a real resolution when something goes wrong.

I usually do Ipsy but decided to give Birchbox a try. BIG MISTAKE. I placed my order on 7/23 and on 8/1 they charged for a second box when I haven't even received the first one. I finally got the first box today 8/21 after multiple emails. 2 days shy of a month-thats ridiculous! Then my items inside the box were beat up and dirty like they came from a bargain bin, I don't even know if they are safe to use. They look old.

Do not subscribe to this merchant. I subscribed in July and after 2-3 weeks Passed still hadn't received my order. After many emails to cancel I continued to be told it was at a warehouse Pending shipment. Another week Passes and I sent another email and was told it would arrive in 2-4 days another lie! Then I received an email stating I would be refunded and my just box would be free. I cancelled the subscription and asked for a refund regardless of where my order was at. So another email from them stating some of my orders have shipped. Are you kidding me how stupid do you think the consumers are? If it's been stuck at the warehouse as I was told numerous times the order would be a complete order and not 1/2. So I ordered from Ipsy and received it in 4 days. Don't waste the energy on this company they are quick to take your money but not concerned with when you will receive it.

My bank and credit card show I purchased not one, but TWO August boxes on July 2nd (and posted the very next day), along with a purchase from their Member Market around the same time. It is now August 1st, and despite numerous bot chats and emails where they keep telling me the orders are being processed, nothing has arrived. Meanwhile, their website shows my two July boxes STILL say "Order Placed." No sign of shipping, no tracking number, nada. They have 30 days to deliver their products. If not, I'm calling my bank and my credit card, and have the charges reversed. None of the YouTubers who unbox Birchbox have received their August boxes either or received word from Birchbox. This will be the THIRD time they stiffed the customers and vendors, then went out of business. I see the signs and I shouldn't have wasted over $60 on Birchbox with their crappy history. Do NOT subscribe to Birchbox.

Every month something is wrong or delayed. I was an original member of Birchbox but this is no longer the same. The website is really poor quality and never updated. They advertise samples and brands but do not actually have them. They give maybe one full size product, and an item like a scrunci or a sponge, but the rest are tiny samples. The biggest issue is i pre-paid a year and that was a terrible mistake. Many of my products smell expired. Oils get that rancid or just really stale smell. Every month it ships late. I don’t always receive my box in the month it was selected for. Its July 23rd. My box this month is still being selected i guess. But when I emailed to check I received an email back that they're shipping the boxes all through the end of the month. I would cancel but there's no refunds. Imagine hyping up a theme for a month but the month passes before you even get your box. They say they'll notify when the very limited "members market" opens but they don't, I just check in an see it live from time to time. When it isnt live, there's supposed to be a countdown page, but its not always updated, just symbols in place because no one updates their website. The shop itself has really random TJ Maxx vibes, some neat things, but nothing really from your box to choose. Beware if you happen to purchase anything, it will take about three to four weeks to ship. Updating August 18th '26, still no july box. They said they didn't know it didn't ship because they gave it to a courier, but the courier didn't report it lost, its up to me. Yeah, if this isn't resolved, I'm also going to contact my bank for a charge back. I spent almost $300 for a full year and they can't even get it right by month 3.

Ordered two boxes - one in May 2026 and one in June 2026. May box arrived with a partially used perfume and an eye gel that expired in 2024. Emailed customer service. They selected products on their own accord and sent me a replacement box only to receive yet another expired product. Decided to try the June 2026 box (give them one last shot), and ended up receiving 3 incorrect products, as well as a product that expired 5 years ago (verified by the brand themselves)!!! I do NOT recommend this company at all!
