One of my go-tos for all of the special pieces in my home. They have excellent customer service and work hard for their customers. I ordered an item that was taking quite some time to ship. I was able to exchange it for a similar item that was ready to ship and was issued a refund for the price difference. Amazing and would highly recommend.

Just cautioning everyone to be aware of their return policy! You have to pay to ship anything back, and I’m my case, the cost to ship the items back was $15 and the Amber water bottles cost $25 total. They were not able to make an arrangement to help mitigate my return shipping costs. Do not recommend buying from them for this reason.

Hi Liz, Thank you so much for leaving a review. I am sorry you do not agree with our terms. Our policy is clearly located on every page of our website and is also available for viewing before you make your purchase. We do not offer return labels or cover the cost of return shipping. Our terms are in place for several reasons and are in line with other retailers offering the same items we sell. This information is provided and should be viewed before making a purchase. We are happy to return the items you purchased, however you are responsible for shipping them back to us. Cheers, Shaan battenhome.co
Beautiful item and packaging and good price too. I ended up returning the item I got as it was too big and it got damaged by UPS. They were incredibly responsive and helpful in filing a claim which I really appreciated, very nice to work with.

This was undoubtedly the worst and most costly experience I've ever had as an online customer. During a remodel, I ordered 2 Danish pendant lights - a big splurge at $1500, but with significant light impact in the space. Nowhere had i been warned prominently that, unlike any reputable company like Danish Design, Batten doesn't allow returns on lights. This should have been emphasized prior to purchase! The lights hadn't even been out of the package when it was clear that they wouldn't work out. But no exchange, no refund - even with their 20% restocking fee! if this company goes under during the pandemic, it's a fate very well deserved. Meanwhile, I've learned a hard lesson about checking into a company's potentially unique policies prior to making big online purchases. Others allow returns within 30 days - if lights are in perfect condition - for exchange or 20% restocking fee. [I did NOT wait 28 days, that's not true!!!]

Nuna, I am apologetic to hear that you feel your experience shopping with us was not positive. We are a small, family run business that pride ourselves on customer service and to be perfectly honest, feel your review does not represent your experience as we view it, and would like to advise below. When we received your order, we promptly processed it and shipped the items you purchased as quickly as possible. They were received by you in perfect condition, in their unopened factory sealed packaging. 28 days after the transaction, you then emailed requesting to return the lamps you had purchased, stating they didn't work for your space. We then advised you that unfortunately, we do not return such things such as Rugs, Lighting or Audio players. This policy is in place for a variety of reasons we feel are important to maintain the quality our goods sent out to our clients. This is clearly communicated in our store policies. We do not hide this policy. Our refund policy and store policy pages are located on every single page on our site. In addition, you can also view our refund policy before you go through the checkout process. Our policies are in place for a reason and are designed to protect the quality of the goods we sell and overall customer experience. While I do sympathize and understand that you did not view these policies prior to checking out, does not mean that we are required to return an item that is clearly communicated we do not return. While we do honestly appreciate your business, we do have to stand by our terms and can only assume that each and every customer has reviewed them prior to making a purchase with us.
Ordered textiles and large planters. Very pleased with the incredible quality and unique designs. Very well packaged and shipped efficiently. Thank you Batten Home!

What a fantastic experience ordering from Batten Home. Products arrived in a timely manner, wrapped perfectly. Very impressed with the high quality products. It’s difficult finding beautiful pieces to add to your home but Batten Home makes this very easy. Would highly recommend and will be ordering again.

I ordered glassware from batten home (order 11711) in January, did not receive it for weeks. When I emailed, I was told it was out of stock and would be back in stock April (information that would have been relevant during purchase). I decided to wait more since there was only a few more weeks at that point. When April came, I emailed again and was told that the shipment was late but I would receive my order soon and they would ship it directly from the warehouse so I couple get it faster. I replied asking for a tracking number and received no response. After waiting another month, I sent another email stating that I still had not received my order. They canceled my order without any consolation for the fact that I spent nearly 6 months in my new home using plastic cups while I waited for this order. Not only that, but since canceling this order I have found the same glassware from a different vendor for a fraction of the price. I would never recommend this company. I never got my order, but what I do get from them is a barrage of promotional junk-emails advertising products that are probably not in stock.

Thank you so much for taking the time for leaving us a review. When your order was placed, these items were out of stock and lead times were advised within the products description. Unfortunately, we saw some delays in getting these items from the distributor and advised you by email to which you requested to cancel your order. We try hard to keep everything available and in stock and understand that delays and lack of availability can sometimes be frustrating as a consumer. We appreciate your honest feedback and hope there is an opportunity in the future to help you the best we can. We are a small family business and pride ourselves on customer service. Unfortunately your needs were not met in this instance and I honestly wish we had these items in stock to ship you immediately. Cheers, Shaan Batten [email protected]
