Avocado’s so called easy return process is flat out misleading. I was told in store that returns were simple and that collection could be arranged. Once I initiated the return, the story changed constantly. I was told it would be collected, then told it would not. I was told to wrap the item, then not wrap it, then wrap it again. I was asked for photos, then more photos, then donation drop offs. I was first sent to a donation location in Anaheim, then told Santa Monica was an option, despite living over hours away. Instructions changed every time I complied. Nothing moved forward. Apologies were meaningless. This was not confusion. It was obstruction. The process appears designed to delay refunds and wear customers down until they give up. Completely unacceptable.

I purchased an Avocado King mattress with frame for $4,044.88 in December 2021. When the original mattress developed body impressions within 2 years, Avocado replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, the replacement also developed similar issues (1.5-2.0 inch impressions), and getting the second replacement required more effort - multiple rounds of documentation and a BBB complaint to move things forward. To Avocado's credit, they ultimately honored their warranty and agreed to replace the mattress.

Trust the negative reviews. Orders do not ship. You get the same response of, “We don’t have any idea when your order will ship,” every time you contact customer service. I ordered a pillow on November 20th. While I understand the items are “handmade,” when you state a maximum production time, people order based on this. I even gave it several extra days past their stated seven-day maximum production time due to Thanksgiving. They are a dishonest company.

We received a bed frame that could not be put together because the holes were drilled wrong. It has been over a week and after numerous attempts to get help with this we have yet to receive any replacement part so that we can put our bed together properly. In order ot have a place to sleep we drilled our own holes, but it's not stable. Go elsewhere. This is not worth it.

This company is supposed to be people & eco-friendly. Unfortunately, I REALLY regret purchasing from them! They have a live person available when you want to buy, but after that-good luck on getting any actual customer service! 1.) I paid $10 extra for signature required on delivery to try to protect my item. BUT they didn't even set it up that way (maybe because I live in an apt.? But other vendors were able to still send with signature on it). I asked for a refund & their AI just said they give no refunds for shipping. 2.) They give little communication on when you can expect delivery (you get an email after paying saying some crazy 30 days, then hear nothing & then get some email saying it's coming soon & then it's tomorrow!) 3.) I guess fast shipping is great (though a bit of notice would be helpful so you can be there). BUT what ISN"T GOOD is when then you get a notification from FedEx that Avocado didn't put a label on well enough, so now it's stuck in transit! I contact Avocado & all I got was, here's your tracking info.-follow up with FedEx. They completely ignored me asking when I could expect delivery by now! This company has gotten too big for its breeches & doesn't respect its customers/stay true to its ethos.

They sent the bed frame with a faulty cross bar attachment. The support center is a dud. They make you do more things and are not able to resolve any issues.I think it is outsourced and they are just a greeter. I would not buy from this company again. My experience is that this overpriced, low quality trash that they waste fuel on shipping.

Company did not honor their warranty. Mattress was sagging more than 1.75 inches in two spots within 36 months.

I waited weeks for a duvet and cover from Avocado. When it finally arrived, the cover tore after one gentle wash. Masie S., their "Customer Experience Service Manager", offered me a vague “priority remake”—aka more waiting—and no accountability. For a company that sells “luxury” and “sustainability,” they’re shockingly careless with quality and customer experience. Extremely disappointed and would never purchase again.
