Our first three transactions went…
Our first three transactions went smoothly, as normal and expected. But they actually didn't. All indications showed the transactions as approved and paid, with one little exception - the email receipts, which again, showed "Approved" on them, also had a little note - "Test mode" - seemingly harmless. It wasn't until the funds should have hit our account and the Authorize.net rep reached out to see if we needed anything that I inquired about this "Test mode" marked on the transaction receipts. He then explained that "Test mode" meant the transactions hadn't actually gone through. He then explained that it was our problem to deal with, that there was nothing they could do about it. We're now out product, and have no way to embarrassingly go back to our customers and ask them to pay for their orders a second time. Customers received a receipt that shows their order was paid for. Shopify shows the order as paid for. I have NOTHING to go back to our customers with other than a receipt that says, "Test mode" on it. Authorize.net and Jordan Hastings have shown NO willingness to do anything to rectify these losses.
