I purchased a diagnostic tool on their website through my carer it said it was priced up at £369 went to checkout and paid for it only then did it come back as the cost was £512.40 and the banner on the website page states purchases over $100/£100 would be free postage. Then since Tuesday they have done nothing but send emails saying you need to complete your purchase when it was completed through PayPal and PayPal have confirmed the purchase. Not a good experience I would avoid at all costs they seem to scam people.

For many years I've been using software and a laptop to monitor and diagnose my vehicles. After buying a couple of newer vehicles recently the cost to upgrade the software and add LICENSES for the vehicle manufacturers was significant. I Found YOUCANIC and discovered that for a little more I could get a scanner with the same or better functionality and features and would no longer have to license individual vehicle manufacturers and/or generations. I've been getting familiar with the YOUCANIC interface and am inpressed with the depth of information it can pull from my new vehicles as well as my 18 year old Mercedes. It has all the features of the expensive software I was using and then some. I can't say enough about the customer support. While learning the interface I had a couple of questions. YOUCANIC responded quickly with friendly advice and answers to my questions.

I bought the Youcanic II C for personal diy use. After searching the internet and found youCANIC is USA based company (but not as popular as many other) and appeared to have most features I would need, picked it over all the rest. I’m a retired mechanic didn’t use scanners much in heavy trucks. I really like it, it seems to do most of what I need. The low rating is for support of the tool. I’ve sent emails about a couple of issues and general questions. NEVER GET A RESPONSE!!! I did call a couple of times and finally got a call back but not by someone who could answer my questions. She was nice and polite but could not answer my questions. Next day she called me back with an answer. They updated internet access with opera mini. Can’t check many USA sites because its servers are in Europe and they prohibit common USA site access. The AI support says im not treated as a “paying subscriber” so it may take some time to get an answer… that’s the rub… it seems they’ve gone from free lifetime support to “if you want support, you gotta pay for it”. These were the exact things they claimed they don’t do…when I saw a new model was out I even asked about trading in my C model not even a year old, never got a quote. I bought because it’s right here in Baltimore with lifetime support.. I find it to be great tool, but if you ain’t paying they ain’t talkin..

This scanner quickly diagnosed my Mercedes transmission issue as a faulty valve body solenoid after other fixes failed. An easy fix that saved me around $1500 and it works great.

spent days shopping for a product to replace my aging autoenginuty and looked all all the usual, autel, mucar, thinkcar, etc. most looked like you were purchasing something on temu. Asked many questions and when they did answer it was a vague word salad. Came across youcanic and thought, to good to me true. Did a deeper dive, asked questions... phone answered, calls returned, emails responded to by someone that understands the product and the companies reputation. I did have a slight issue and shockingly they owned it and they proactively apologized. The unit does all I expected and more. The customer service for this day and age is unique and most impressive.

Upon doing research for a comprehensive scan tool, I settled on a well received model from a competitor. To my dismay and undocumented in the advertisement I found myself looking at a login screen that could not be dismissed just to scan a vehicle. Emailed tech support and indeed you must me logged in via an internet connection just to do a basic scan. Ridiculous! Back on the search, I came across folks recommending the Youcanic UCAN-II-C Pro, I contacted their support which responded quickly with no endless phone menu. The rep answered my questions confirming no Wi-Fi needed for normal code or data viewing, some secure functions and AI support as well as updates require login which is to be expected. I can say hands down, their support staff is excellent and I am a happy owner of a second well made and functional scanner only this one does not bleed you to death $$$ like the tool truck brand does and has become my go to for quick checkups and ease of use. Kudos for doing a great job at a reasonable price. I’m waiting on the Videoscope to be back in stock next week to add that gem to the scanner! Buy this tool, you’ll be glad to have it in your stable. USA based support that answers the phone AND any questions you have. Lifetime updates too! Hard to beat.

Excellent service and very good products. I also have the XTOOL d8w and Thinkscan 689. The Youcanic scanner is the one I normally use because of its coverage and scanning functions. It also has free updates. The support is excellent, fast respons and very helpful.

Mercedes owners beware. I wasted $508 INC TAX, in July 2025 on a Youcanic scanner, model YOUCANIC UCAN-II-C PRO. One strong reason for this was to plan a brake flush on my 2011 Mercedes'. Now in December 2025 I tried everything to bleed the ABS system of air as per the scanner option. After multiple emails with Youcanic Customer support who were less than helpful, they told me the scanner can’t bleed my car ABS system. Their 31 days return window was closed and they told me to sell it on eBay as they would not refund my money. My recommendation is that if you own a Mercedes do not buy this Youcanic Scanner. And also be wary of their marketing which states things that it cannot do. I regret buying this.” So, you can see I’m now upset with the scanner, annoyed at your customer service. My comments above are fair and accurate.
