We listened to an interview on Farmer to Farmer and were intrigued by the potato passion. I love the descriptions on the website and found a few varieties to share with others. It's been our best potato harvest year yet and we're excited to taste them all.

My potato sets came at the exact right time and in good condition. All the instructions for planting them was accurate and helpful Unfortunately I had an attack of voles that decimated my crop!! sigh But that does not in any way reflect on Wood Prairie Family Farm!

I purchased several varieties of potatoes and all varieties did well. I wrapped each potato start in a comfrey leaf and I did some "compost in place" over the potatoes layering it in with soil to continuously feed the plants. I especially enjoyed the huckleberry potatoes- the color was beautiful and, though they were small, they were delicious.

Based on the rave reviews posted in their catalog, organic product, extensive selection/catalog items and description of each item, I decided to pursue ordering from this company. I had a three questions about which potatoes would be best for my location and purpose of use. Repeated emails and phone calls went unanswered. There was/is some problem with their answering service. Once, I reached a live person who immediately took a message because he could not answer my questions. When someone finally got back to me via email, my questions were only half way answered and I had to resend them. There was an inordinate amount of back and forth (which took over 2 weeks) just to get three simple questions answered. It was a very frustrating experience. Regarding the products finally purchased (Yukon Gold, Adirondack Blue and Red), they did not do well in Zone 10. The plants grew well but harvest (quantity) was extremely small.

Awesome selection! The organic seed potatoes I ordered are doing fantastic! The shipping process was less satisfying... no shipment e-mail was sent, so I had no idea when to expect the package. It arrived with incorrect products, which was resolved quickly, but again, no shipment e-mail for the corrected order. The replacement was shipped to my billing address rather than my shipping address; that, combined with the lack of notification, caused a major delay in my receiving the package. But I would still order from them in the future. Very friendly people!
