I would leave no stars, if possible. I had Wex benefits at my previous job that I had to quit in May 2026 due to family constraints. I had a Dependant Care account that was pulled out of my paycheck every pay period and a HSA account for medical expenses that I usually have until April of the following year to turn in receipts or use the card that is given. Since I quit in May, I only had until August to turn in receipts and the card stopped working on my last day of employment. They make no exceptions and the money is just gone that was put in for this year. I finally got someone on the phone and there is nothing that they can do. Apparently it is in the plan that you receive when you sign up but no one is going to tell you anything or let you know that you do not have the same amount of time to use when your work stops for any reason.

Do not sign up for WEX FSA account & tell your benefits coordinator to stay away from them as they will deny all your claims unless you buy from their FSA store at inflated prices. A very unscrupulous and unprofessional company.

Despite providing clear evidence of my usage, Wex continues to deny my claims and they are requesting money EVEN THOUGH I have done everything correctly. It's a joke and stressful for no reason.

Just wanted to get vision insurance continuation through them and they wanted to charge a $20 processing fee for the first payment because it was "late" even though it was within the timeframe given (it was already considered "late" before I even got the letter to elect benefits). They said the only way to avoid is to mail a check or money order, but after that payment if you select recurring payments you could use debit or ACH to pay the rest with no fees. Ridiculous hoops to jump through, and I told them to forget it. It was such a hassle trying to message them too. The first reply I got said the "inbox was no longer monitored" even though that's where they directed me to sign in to read messages and where all subsequent messages were sent. Confusing, poorly run, difficult to navigate, no care for the consumer.

Absolutley HORRIBLE!! Never use them! I have been going to the same Doctors, Dentists, etc. and WEX constantly denied my claims and forced sending in proof of claim. They are NOT the IRS. Also, so many calims denied my FSA was basically worthless. I had most the FSA pre-tax money put back on my paychecks and W-2 as taxable. UNREAL!! I will never work for a company that uses WEX again

If I could give them no stars, I would. They have made it so difficult to use your money as if dealing with insurance alone isn't a struggle. Do not use this company ever.

If I could rate this company with less than 1 star, I would. The callback system hangs up. This company denies claims for FSA and does not accept receipts in a timely manner. The online portal does not work and now the hold time is 15 minutes, plus the 20 minutes that I waited previously for a callback when the IVR did not recognize my response that I could take the call and hung up. How and why does a great company like Bank of America use this vendor is beyond me? The time that it takes to correspond with this vendor is completely unacceptable. Poor management. Poor service delivery. Poor customer service experience.

WEX is inconsistent with their reimbursement practices. Anytime I submit a claim for more than 50.00 it is automatically denied. I called to see why the same receipt but different procedure was denied but the other approved. I was told It was an error on their part. They suggest I get an EOB and resubmit. I explained I self paid for the service, so no EOB. I asked for a manager and was denied. Their customer service is lack luster. The reps just repeat the same thing over and over again. I really wish our company would find someone else to administer these benefits. Dealing with health issues is stressful enough without adding WEX to the picture.
