HORRABLE! If you want to loose access to all your emails and website for weeks, then risk it

Been a customer for a very long time. Service is always up. Any issues I've had I was able to chat with support and get them fixed ASAP. Only gripe is sometimes the load times are slower than I'd like but recently they moved me to a new server and it's been better.

customer service is a disaster no phone support only email they used to be great now they are the worst. Time is of the essence and with the chat and email that is just a huge waste of time. I am shopping around to host my 6 websites.

Terrible customer service, and predatory practices! When my service expired they auto-renewed and the first I knew of it was when my credit card was charged. I contacted them ON THE DAY OF RENEWAL and they basically said that's too bad. A reasonable company would have cancelled and said we'd love to have you back, but instead they said if I contested the charge with my credit card company they would send me to collections and ruin my credit score. I tried to deal with them in a reasonable fashion, but to no avail. I would NEVER recommend this company!! There are too many good servers out there to choose from, so I strongly suggest you steer clear of these idiots.

I have been a customer on WebHowtingPad.com for 14 years and for 14 years i have been treated with respect and care. I have had problems and they have helped me. They have gone above and beyond. They have even done things for me that, as a developer, i should know how to do myself but don’t know yet. James has always been my go to guy. He is a genius and so helpful.

I’ve trusted WebHostingPad’s shared hosting since 2012, and their support has been outstanding. I always receive quick responses—usually within an hour—and my issues are resolved faster than expected. I highly recommend their hosting services

Never in my 54 years have I experienced such truly awful customer service - not just completely unreasonable, but insulting and threatening. They pretend to be reasonable in their reply to my previous review, but in the meantime I have been receiving a string of emails telling me I am a liar and threatening me in numerous ways. I warned them I would dispute the charge with my credit card company if they did not remove it. I then followed through and my credit card company found in my favor and charged back. This company's response was to send the bill to collections in an attempt to damage my credit score! In addition, they have repeatedly promised they will take me court not just once but twice: once for defamation and then also for making fraudulent statements to my credit card company. After finding out I am an ethics professor, they said they would also lodge a complaint with the "administrative department" of my university about my unethical conduct. The simple fact is that I have been entirely honest and their conduct has been unethical. They charged me for a service that I never received and at the time of the charge they knew they could not provide me with the service because I had already migrated all my domains away from them. Not only is this more than sufficient reason for my credit card company to do a chargeback, but charging for a service you know you cannot provide amounts to deceptive billing. They are holding to the line that their terms and conditions say I had to cancel before the renewal date in the way they specified. It is true I didn't do that. I never claimed to have done so. It doesn't matter. They never provided me the service and they knew they couldn't. Those are quite sufficient reasons for a chargeback. These emails came from multiple people over a period of days. Their tone has consistently been highly unpleasant and confrontational. They were never willing to consider my argument, and were instead extremely aggressive and insulting. I received one email that did not respond to the substantive points I had just made, but instead began "Blah Blah Blah You are a liar and a thief Ethics professor who teaches not to lie but does it himself YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE." I sent them summaries from chatGPT and Google Gemini explaining why the chargeback was justified. They couldn't care less. They are completely incapable of considering any perspective but their own, which happens to be wrong. They are just raging. I just checked and I see I just got this one line email: "Have fun staying in collections !!!!" Replies to response from Jason 7/3/2025 Jason, I appreciate your reply which adopts a reasonable and polite tone. Absolutely none of my prior interactions with your company were even remotely polite. I hope you agree that the consistently insulting and threating tone adopted by Michael and Jose is absolutely and completely unacceptable. No disagreement over matters of fact can possibly justify the tone they adopted. Please clarify on this point and on whether they will be disciplined or, more appropriately, their employment immediately terminated. With regard to other points 1) I have indeed paid for your service for a very long time and I was, at least for the first 12 years or so, quite happy with it. This is because I had assistance with the website from individuals more technically competent than myself. After I tried to go it alone, my websites started to be attacked and became non-operational. No website I have had with you over the last five years has been operational for more than a few weeks. I think that is pretty good reason to migrate the service to a more user friendly one. What do you think? 2) I explained the situation to my credit card just as I detailed in my contemporaneous BBB complaint and just as I have written here. I am not responsible for what my credit card did with that information. It appears they did not categorize the reason for the chargeback correctly. That is less than ideal but is of no material substance. There was and is good reason for the chargeback. Charging for a service you are not in a position to provide may be classified as fraudulent or deceptive billing. Your terms of service do not alter that fact. 3) You could not provide me with service in any remotely useable way because I had already migrated my last domain off your service. This has already been stated clearly. Just to repeat, there is also the additional point that you have not been providing me with a service I have found useable for many years. 4) I just attempted to publish my site on Squarespace. I cannot see it because my provider blocked it due to its being hacked and used for phishing while I was using your service. Once I have it working, it will be the first time it will be operational in years. Jason's 2nd response was also evasive

Response from WebHostingPad· Jul 3, 2025
Hello Antony, My name is Jason, and I sincerely apologize for the experience you had with our customer service team. We take great pride in providing exceptional service, and it’s clear that we fell short in your case. That said, I’ve discussed the matter with Michael, and Jose and I would like to get some clarification. It appears you had two hosting services with us: • One that started on 06/14/2017 and renewed on 06/14/2025, which is the one you're currently disputing. • Another that started on 01/21/2008 and ended on 01/21/2024. Your account has been renewing since 2017, and we have been sending reminders regarding the renewal. After the recent renewal on 06/14/2025, you initially contacted us to inquire about the charge and requested a refund. We explained our company policy regarding renewals and informed you that we could not issue a refund, as we had already paid out the license fees associated with your hosting account. Following this, you contacted your credit card company and disputed the charge, citing the reason as "Merchandise Not as Described or Defective." However, you had been using the hosting service for eight years. This raises a few questions: • Why was the reason for the chargeback different from what you mentioned in the review you posted? • In your review, you stated that you forgot to cancel before the renewal — yet told your credit card company something else. • You also claimed we charged you for a service that we couldn't provide. How is that the case when we’ve been consistently providing the service since 2017? The account was only closed after you submitted a cancellation request. Otherwise, it would still be active. Additionally, you mentioned that you moved your services elsewhere, but we have not seen any of your sites become active on other hosting platforms. I’m reaching out to better understand the situation, as there appear to be several discrepancies that need clarification. Best regards, Jason To follow up: your statement is misleading and incorrect. Charging for a service that we are fully capable of providing does not constitute fraudulent or deceptive billing. Our terms of service clearly outline this and remain unchanged. You were charged because you did not cancel your subscription. Our services have never been defective or misrepresented—they have been fully operational. At no point were we unable to provide the service. You have been receiving uninterrupted service for the past 12 years. Your decision to move to another provider, such as Square Space, does not mean our service is nonfunctional or defective. The hosting account remains active and fully operational. Choosing not to use the service does not imply that the service is unusable or that we failed to deliver what was promised.
