Major Update: Unacceptable business practices, broken migration, and severe data issues I am updating my review to address the actual website build and migration performance, rather than separate, undelivered components. While I am not seeking a refund for the basic site build itself, the actual delivery was completely mismanaged. The agency failed the migration process, causing critical technical errors that forced our entire system—including our essential business emails—into an emergency recovery mode, which is thoroughly documented in my records. The project manager, who operates under the name "William Blake," explicitly claimed the team works out of Fremont, California. However, I discovered the company maintains no verifiable physical address, and there is no evidence the representatives use their real names. Following my initial feedback regarding these issues, my live web environment was completely wiped out. My hosting provider confirmed that unauthorized administrative logins occurred, resulting in the total deletion of core website files for my domains. The access logs revealed a highly deceptive technical setup: the agency used domestic California cloud proxies and rented data center servers to make their logins look like local, American traffic [1.1]. However, their technical operations exposed that the actual physical connections originated directly from Pakistan [1.1]. This completely contradicts the domestic identity presented by the project manager [1.1]. To protect my business assets, I had to instruct my hosting provider to block all network traffic and IP ranges from that region. Furthermore, confidential, internal financial metrics and order numbers belonging to my company were subsequently leaked onto public platforms [1.1]. This has evolved far past a standard contractual dispute. Beyond the broken migration and a misrepresented $4,500 AI feature [1.1], I was charged $4,449.00 under the explicit promise of dedicated premium cloud hosting, only to discover they secretly utilized a lower-tier, cheaper third-party infrastructure instead. I have experienced a catastrophic loss of data, a massive hosting bait-and-switch, a broken email and site migration, public exposure of proprietary metrics, and severe identity deception by an agency operating behind fabricated American aliases and cloud proxies [1.1]. All relevant server logs, proxy tracking data, and evidence of these public leaks have been compiled and submitted directly to federal and state consumer protection and cyber reporting agencies [1.1]. I strongly advise anyone to exercise extreme caution before granting this company any administrative access to your digital assets [1.1].Their claim of no longer having access is not true we were unable to change the password to admin so they did in fact have access. Not once have they apologized or try to make anything right. Williams early claims he is a young guy 30 years old who lives with his mother and continued to tell me to trust him in my 70 years on the earth I totally fell for it. I never contacted WDM to rebuild my site I called them to build a website for my non profit my first contact was Jordan Lee no doubt not his real name. Why go through all the trouble of using fake names I worked in factories for years many people from other countries change their first name to be American but never their last. Imagine the company you paid over 12k for continually bullying me trying force me to take a lesser version of AI than what I paid for. None of this will be resolved here. Trust Pilot did find in my favor when William threatened to take my 2 websites down one my non profit is on Bluehost that he had the credentials for. William Blake is now posting as another Fake name Michael Jones he has left reviews on both Dave and I's linkedin now he posted on my pet non profit Breezes Street Friends and Custom Sports Cards...This is seriously unhinged and desperate...

As a follow up…the morning after I posted my original review (below) we woke up to find that our site had been taken down from the internet and our CPANEL access had been wiped out. We were able to resolve this through our new hosting service, but it took quite a while. Our hosting company checked the logs and saw that there was an IP login from Karachi, Pakistan, which is where Web Design Mechanic operates out of…despite Willam Blake’s insistence that they are in Fremont, CA. If you do business with them and you think they operate from Fremont, check your previous email communications and look at the time stamps. This is apparent on email chains. Check the time you sent your email (in your outbox), then look at their reply and look at the time they received your email…you will notice a big difference. Look up the time zone difference between Pakistan and your time zone, and the two will line up. In some cases, particularly on emails from Kevin Reed, you will notice that he is in India, as opposed to Pakistan…the time zone in India is unique, it is off by 30 minutes since the whole country uses the same time zone. My guess is that after seeing this they will manually change those time stamps, which is why I suggest looking at previous email chains. We do not mind doing business with people in other countries, that is the world we now live in, and that is okay. But when people repeatedly lie about their business location, even when asked, they are hiding something intentionally and simply cannot be trusted. Don’t forget, these people have access to all of your customer’s information as well as all of yours. ----- This review coincides with the review written by Pam Baker. I am the ‘Dave’ referred to in their reply to her negative review. First, the data they quote in their reply is confidential information that they illegally obtained by opening our administration panel without our permission (we are no longer on their server, and they did not program in the ability for us to change our admin password – we are in the process of getting that remedied with another developer.) Second, that information is 7 month’s-worth of data and a fraction of the business previous to their involvement. Regarding their statement that I “repeatedly confirmed” that the features were functional. The only confirmation I gave was the okay to go live once we had done extensive QC work to identify all of the errors, some of which we had to fix ourselves. - Payment links to pay solutions we do not even use, and they never did add PayPal (we just had someone else do that) - Nearly all of the header and footer links were not functional. - Product pricing was incorrect and shipping charges were not calculating correctly. - We spent two weeks manually adjusting every single card layout so that customers could actually order the product. In addition, regarding migration to their server: - None of the backlinks and SEO work from our original site were included in the migration to their server. - All customer accounts were wiped out in the migration causing a flood of calls from our existing customers. Our initial post was about that and the thousands of dollars they stole from us. The initial agreement was that payment would be in three installments, however they lied and cajoled us to keep paying before the services were completed to help cover their costs. The agreed deliverables were: - The Pet Trading Cards membership site which was the first item requested, and that we provided all of the information and files for in October and November of 2025, was never delivered. - The AI function that they proposed and subsequently sold to us for $4,500 was supposed to be a solution that required no further tokens, to quote WDM: “we train the system for you, and you get unlimited usage with no token limits forever. It becomes your platform, not a rented one.” We repeatedly asked to see it for months, they never showed us a functional version, and then they started telling us that tokens would be required. - We were sold space on AWS servers yet they used a low-cost hosting site, OVH US. They even used the AWS logo in their quotation to us. - We were sold on the fact that we would receive 24/7 support services; once live we were told they did not work on the weekends. - In total $12,449 was paid for all of the items promised and we only received the custom sports cards site, quoted at $3,250. It is also worth noting that after Pam posted her review, she received written threats that they would take down the website if the review was not removed. Trust Pilot was notified about those threats, and they notified WDM…Trust Pilot found in our favor.

Response from Web Design Mechanic· Oct 20, 2026
Your latest review contains multiple false statements that are easily disproven by the public record and your own previous statements. 1. Server access and alleged “Karachi login” You already publicly stated that you moved the website off our servers and onto a new host. Once the site was migrated, we had zero access no cPanel, no admin panel, no server login. We could not have taken the site down or logged in after the migration. Any IP from the region you mention is far more likely linked to your own SEO team. Your SEO work was being handled by an India-based team led by Jai Parkash. Screenshots of that correspondence are included in the detailed case study we have published. Blaming us for logins while your own remote team had access is misleading. 2. “Confidential data” claim The order and revenue figures we referenced came from the live admin dashboard while the site was still under the original arrangement and while support was active. You and your team were using that same dashboard. Claiming we “illegally opened” it after you had already moved servers is false. 3. Work delivered vs. claims The Custom Sports Cards website is live and generating revenue. Public dashboard data showed 500+ orders and over $21,000 in paid revenue within a short period after the rebuild and SEO work. That growth did not happen by accident. The remaining items (Pet Trading Cards site and the AI feature) were never completed because the full required materials and final direction were not provided, despite repeated requests. That is documented. 4. Pricing claims The payment breakdown you are now publishing is inaccurate. The full record of what was paid, what was scoped, and what was delivered exists and has been preserved. 5. Pattern of behaviors After receiving a functioning custom website, a custom admin system that eliminated your previous $350–400/month plugin costs, and measurable traffic growth, the response has been public attacks, threats, and shifting accusations rather than resolution. Additional public concern Separately, the website breezestreetfriends.org is collecting donations while presenting itself in a non-profit context. Available information indicates it is not properly registered as a non-profit. We advise the public to verify registration before donating. We have published a detailed case study with supporting screenshots (including customer complaints about undelivered cards, SEO team correspondence, and performance data) on Yelp and other platforms. Anyone can review the documented record. Case Study: https://medium.com/@williamblake.brandingagencyinc/case-study-baseless-allegations-broken-deliveries-a-pattern-of-misrepresentation-325cacc36aa7 Please review this link to read the full case study, which outlines allegations of how they are misleading their own users and taking advantage of companies that have delivered excellent results for them. We have completed formal legal preparation regarding the repeated false allegations and threats. Further public misrepresentations will be addressed through the appropriate channels. The website we built is still live. The results are visible. The emails exist. The rest of the narrative does not match the facts. Web Design Mechanic
Web Digned mechanics designed my business website and truly speaking they deserve 5 stars review. My go in between man is Gregellison and this guy is fantastic. He communicated with me with respect. He is knowledgeable, honest and understanding. He has great personality and committed to his work. He answered all my questions and contacted me as needed with updates. When I gave my contract to them, I was skeptical but Gregellison removed all fear and concerns because of how he was communicating with me.

If you're looking for a web development company that genuinely cares about the success of your business, I cannot recommend Web Design Mechanics highly enough. From our very first conversation through the launch of my website, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Their team is knowledgeable, responsive, patient, and incredibly easy to work with. Every question was answered promptly, every concern was addressed thoughtfully, and every request was handled with professionalism and attention to detail. A special thank you to Simon and Zayn, who were exceptional throughout the entire process. Their expertise, creativity, communication, and commitment to delivering a first-class product made what could have been a stressful project an enjoyable one. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my website reflected the vision I had for my business. What impressed me most was that I never felt like just another client. They took the time to understand my goals, offered valuable guidance when needed, and remained responsive and engaged from start to finish. That level of service is increasingly rare and speaks volumes about the culture and professionalism of their company. I couldn't be happier with the finished website or the experience of working with their team. If you're considering a company to design or develop your website, you can move forward with complete confidence. Web Design Mechanics has earned my highest recommendation, and I would not hesitate to work with them again in the future. Thank you, Simon, Zayn, and the entire Web Design Mechanics team, for your outstanding work and for making this such a positive experience.

Web Design Mechanic picked up on a botched job from another website developer, and they did a fantastic job and didn't keep trying to upcharge me. They were very responsive on the many edits that I needed done. I would highly recommend them. Kevin and Zayn did a great job.

I have 25 years of digital marketing and advertising experience. This is one of the best website teams I've ever worked with. Fantastic workflow, communication, delivery, and site revisions. As for their cost, they are below normal costs for website design. Had I had my new sites built anywhere else, it would have been double or triple the cost. Now we have 2 more sites in development. Lastly, Kevin Reeds is my lead project manager, and without question, he has been the most responsive PM I've EVER worked with. I highly recommend Web Design Mechanic for all of your website and WordPress needs.
