I bought these OTC hearing aids for my 82 yr old mom and she can hear much better, not only conversations but also the tv. She still needs to get used to finding the volume button without having to taking them off, but the overall improvement in her hearing is noticeable. Also, this product has a very good customer service and will follow up promptly if you have any questions.

Adjustment of gain over range of frequencies very effective with built-in test. Software is glitchy and won't work properly on some smartphones - manual gain adjustment is problematic but can be made to work using a different smart phone.

Update: I have now received shipping reimbursement. The issue is customer service. Unfortunately I don't feel I can upgrade this review because it took a bad review on Trustpilot to get action from Vivtone. If Cindy is the only support person that actually knows how their system should work, it is time for retraining of all other employees. I received defective hearing aids. They squelched painfully in my ear. I did return them and did receive a credit for the product. They did not refund my shipping expense. I was told by Cindy (probably AI) after returning, that they offer a shipping label for returns and I had to include a photo of the defect. No shipping label was ever offered in the 3 weeks of conversation. Please, someone tell me how to take a picture of a squelch! Absolutely ridiculous. Customers beware of this company.

Response from Vivtone Hearing Aids· Oct 15, 2026
Update: Thank you so much for your update and confirmation that the shipping reimbursement was received. We noticed there was an extra processing fee deducted from your shipping refund, and we have already sent you a separate transfer to cover this fee. Could you please reply to our email once you receive this payment? We are revising our support process to respond faster for all customers. Feel free to reach us at [email protected] or 833-938-1277 if you have any concerns. Hi Janet, We want to sincerely apologize for the poor communication from our team. You are absolutely right — the painful squelching noise from the hearing aid is a sound issue, and it is impossible to take a photo to capture this problem. We acknowledge that during your 3 weeks of back-and-forth emails and calls, our team did not clearly explain the return process or offer a prepaid shipping label in advance. This was our mistake, and we deeply regret the frustration this caused you. Our support team has been in regular contact with you via email since you raised this issue and has already offered to refund the delivery charges to you, so that your issue can be resolved as soon as possible. We deeply regret all the stress this situation has created for you. Should you have any other concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to us anytime. Best regards, Customer Support Team
I've been dealing with Vivtone for years now. I started with their cheapest in-ear type model DO9 which actually worked pretty good considering the really low price. But as time went on, I wanted more and better so I kept upgrading myself with the next higher model. Each had more and better features plus improved sound quality. The few times I've had issues, the Vivtone rep was quick to respond, and sent me a replacement unit when warranted. A year ago, I upgraded to their newest and most advanced model called Xpure. It comes with a cellphone app that has a hearing test, plus several ways to manually tune each hearing aid the way you like it. I'm so impressed with the Xpure model, and they have improved my hearing so much, that I bought a backup Xpure set a few weeks ago in case I have an accident with my originals.
