VibeReviews of vibe.us

We bought the 55" Vibe in March 2023 for our new offices. We finally got moved in April 2023. The Vibe worked initially, and then we started having problems with the TV powering on and off. We contacted Vibe and were to told update the system. We did the update and there was no change. We contacted Vibe back and got no response. They sent us a survey in November about how they did, which I replied they did not do good. It has been crickets from them since then. The Vibe concept is really ok, but overpriced and we don't use it because the power is unreliable and a pain to get turned on. Then it shuts off in the middle of our meetings. We tend to hook the laptop up to the 65" TV in the conference room and use zoom while the Vibe sits unused in the corner. This particular Vibe unit may have been a manufacturing defect, and it is unfortunate that we got that one, but the service from Vibe has been very bad on this. It's cool when it works, but frustrating overall due to the problems we've had. I just wish Vibe would stand behind their customer service and make this right.

Disappointed in the lack of attention given to Android users on a Chrome-based device. The Android app is severely lacking in features compared to Apple and there's no ability to use this giant screen as a Chromecast target (but you can use AirPlay for some inexplicable reason). Android app's QR-code login doesn't recognize the QR codes. When you try to download the Android apps, both QR codes take you to the Apple store (instead of one taking you to the Play store). The web-based casting (vibe.run) is okay at best but doesn't appear to transmit audio. Users have to manually type their Google login credentials (and do 2-factor) every time they want to use the board, which is incredibly tedious for something designed to allow for quick meetings and collaboration. The Google Workspace apps don't integrate with the login to the board, so you have to log in to Google accounts to use the board... then to use Meet... then to use Calendar... and so on. We bought several of these instead of Surface Hubs because we're a Chrome/Google Meet/Google Workspace/Classroom shop and we're already severely regretting the decision. Video quality is fine, build quality is fine, but the ecosystem isn't fully developed and is leaving us with serious holes in functionality. Other than the ability to annotate with the pen, I'm not sure why I didn't just buy some nice TVs and Chromecasts.
