Thank you for your great review of your Venture Ashore excursion in Athens, Greece. I am glad we were able to make your stay in Athens as best as it could be. We hope to see you again shortly on another Venture Ashore tour!
We did the 3 tour package ..White pass Summit, Juneau Whale Watching, Ketchikan Tour. I have to say we were disapointed in 2 of these trips Juneau Whale Watching we were taken to a place where there were 2 sightings, we saw the tail of 1 whale & water spouts but the other whale fell asleep, that couldnt be helped but we never went anywhere else we just stayed in that 1 spot, we never saw any other wildlife. If we went again i would definately book locally their passengers saw a whole lot more than us. The Ketchikan tour was rushed , the Museum was closed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience with two of the tours didn’t meet your expectations. While wildlife sightings, especially whales, can be unpredictable, we understand how disappointing it is when the experience doesn't live up to the excitement. We also regret that the Ketchikan tour felt rushed and that the museum was closed during your visit. Your comments are very important to us, and we’ll be sharing them with our local partners to ensure improvements are made where possible. We always strive to deliver memorable and well-rounded excursions, and we’re sorry we missed the mark in this case. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
Easy booking and good experience.

Thank you for your positive comments about your Venture Ashore excursions in Livorno and Barcelona. We are glad you found the website and booking process easy. We hope to see you again on another tour very soon.
The meet up instructions were unclear for us. The windows in bus were fogged over so no chance to see anything. We drive to dock and get off and then back on bus to see glacier only to turn around and back to dock while listening to litany of how messed up company is from driver. The whale watching part was excellent! Use some shaving cream for the windows to clear the fog.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the whale watching portion of your tour, it’s truly a highlight, and we’re glad it met your expectations! We’re sorry to learn that the rest of your experience did not go as smoothly. Your comments about the unclear meeting instructions and fogged-up bus windows have been noted, and we appreciate you bringing them to our attention. We’ll be reviewing these issues with our local partners to ensure future guests enjoy a more seamless and comfortable experience. We also regret that your experience was affected by the guide’s commentary, and we’ll follow up with the operator to address the professionalism expected during tours. Thank you again for your honest feedback, and we hope to welcome you on a better experience in the future.
On the 3 trips that we had booked we had a really good time with very few other people. Infact only us on 2 of the adventures. Polite staff on the tours

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed all three of your tours with Venture Ashore and that you had the opportunity to experience two of them privately! Our team takes pride in creating relaxed, small-group adventures, and it's great to know that the staff made a positive impression with their courtesy and professionalism. We hope to welcome you on more adventures and cruise excursions in the future!
My wife and I worked with Venture Ashore during our Seaborn Athens to Istanbul cruise this summer. Truly first-class guides - Antigoni in Athens; Ekran in Istanbul. We experienced both destinations in ways that we would not have found from a standard cruise excursion - hidden gems of churches and mosques; a 5-star Michelin-rated restaurant off the beaten path in Istanbul, amazing shopping that usually only locals find, and VIP treatment at every stop in our tours. On top of that, the logistics and coordination were flawless. Can't recommend high enough. Just an amazing experience. Thank you Venture Ashore team!

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience with Venture Ashore! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that your time in Athens and Istanbul was so memorable. Antigoni and Ekran will be thrilled to know their efforts left such a lasting impression, they are both passionate about sharing the hidden gems and rich culture of their cities, and it’s wonderful to know they helped make your trip so special. We’re also glad to hear that the logistics ran smoothly and that you enjoyed some off-the-beaten-path experiences, that’s exactly what we aim for! Thank you again for choosing Venture Ashore. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure very soon!
April 2025 We booked a fabulous cruise to Hawaii earlier this year with a helicopter trip to be a very special treat on Kauai Island with Venture Ashore. We paid £594.54 for our two tickets for a Delux Waterfall Flight of the island. We had been given exact instructions where we had to meet our transportation for the trip once we disembarked our ship. We waited and waited. No one came to collect us. We re-boarded our ship and made many phone calls to resolve this problem. Eventually having got through to someone, we were told we had to make our own way there and that they did not pick passengers up from ships any more. I actually had all the paperwork saying they would pick us up. Our final day on what would have been a fabulous trip was so disappointing. We never managed to see any of the island as all the trips had by this time gone. On return from our holiday, I contacted my credit card company (for which I had paid for the trip) who were very helpful. Nevertheless, Venture Ashore's reply was that we were not entitled to a refund as we were a 'no show'. I sent all the emails through to my credit card company - showing clearly that they said they would pick up. Finally, this matter has been resolved and I have my refund but nothing can put right the disappointment we felt on that last day of our cruise of Hawaii. Read less

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent experience with Venture Ashore. We’re sorry to hear that your day didn’t go as planned. Our local partner did their best to accommodate the situation by rebooking you onto a later flight at 11:20 AM. Unfortunately, it appears there were further complications in reaching the meeting point in time for this departure. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience you experienced on arrival. Your experience is important to us, and we will continue to review what happened to help improve our service going forward.
All the excursions I completed were great.
