Can't beat the location Puaman provides but other than charging my credit card for the payment things did not go smoothly..... 1) check in instructions were to be sent out 10 days prior - I had to call twice to get them 2) place wasn't all that clean on arrival. I get hawaii is tropical and have no problems with bugs, but if your going to spray for cockroaches - be good idea to vacuum up the deceased bugs before guests arrive. 3) Poor communication between onsite managers and VacationRoost - our access codes were cut off due to "failing to pay for parking" which we had done - that said the VacationRoost office dealt with this quickly.

It was annoying that taxes and fees were not detailed. I have no idea of the tax rate I paid, nor if any fees were involved. I also looked into making this reservation on booking.com, and according to them, there was some sort of nightly fee in addition to the base rate and taxes. Also, the 60 day cancellation policy seems pretty draconian. I realize this is a resort location, but when I reserve a condo for Christmas skiing, final payment is due 30 days before we take occupancy, which seems a bit more reasonable. Overall, I was left with a negative impression.

The advertised rate was not available, or more accurately the type of room advertised was not available, so I ended up paying for a larger more expensive room configuration which was more than I needed or wanted. However the price was still competitive with other available choices

I tried to book on-line, it said I had reservations and to wait for email confirmation. After a full day, no email, checked my account and it had not been charged yet so I called and spoke to June (very nice lady) She said the reservation had been cancelled. She sent me other properties to view but after my first failure of booking I decided to call to make the reservation and got Ryan this time. (Extremely great guy) He helped me book my reservation. After my conversation with Ryan I thought I was totally set....he said my reservations were made, he was going to send me lift ticket coupons and gave me 2 nights free instead of the 1 night that was listed on the intranet at the lodge I picked. As soon as I hung up from him I booked my airline tickets. After another whole day I still had no email confirmation so I called and got Laura (another wonderful person) she delivered the bad news, no reservations I was totally freaked out! If I wasn't a Christian girl I would have been cussing at Ryan as I had booked my flights thinking I had a place to stay. Laura sent me more properties to look at but didn't see anything I totally liked, of course worried about the higher prices wasn't helping me any. The one place I really liked was the Elk Run #23 at the East Village, I told Laura I was going to call my husband (he's a fireman and was at the fire station last night) and see what he thought. He bought the map up and decided he would rather stay in the West Village (Union Creek) or Center Village as it was closer to the green slopes. So here we go again.....I didn't want to bother Laura again for some more properties so I started looking my self. When I found a couple I called Laura and asked to see if they were available. Well, 3rd times a charm, we ended up staying at Summit House Deluxe #502 which was way over our budget but after being on the computer for four hours I was done! After I booked it I just kept thinking how much cheaper it was for us to go to Lake Tahoe and we always had a good time there. I honestly think if I didn't have my airlines booked we would not be visiting Colorado after all this. Would have been nice to get a free night and/or at least some lift tickets from Ryan but I feel blessed that we finally got it settled! This is our first time going to Colorado and things may not have turned out the way we planned we are excited about visiting there. The staff that I was involved with were very helpful and just sounded like pleasant people. Thank you for asking for my input and have a Blessed Day!

We Loved the location,but this unit was rather utilitarian...beds were very comfortable...living room furniture was broken down....patio area and pool were poorly maintained...stream was gorgeous...we would definitely try another unit in this building.

I don't plan to use this site again to book a vacation, nor will I recommend it. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.

I have had a good relationship with Darrin at Vacation Roost for the past 2 years. he is helpful and easy to work with. Hence the business part of the relationship was fine. I would suggest however that the property maintenance could be better. I would like to comment on the property that I just rented. It needs some work. The upstairs tub did not drain and the kitchen was poorly equipped for a rental charging over $1000 / day. For 5 people there were not enough glasses, and a rather skimpy selection of cooking utensils.
