Thank you for sharing your experience! Your positive words about our subscription service and customer support mean a lot to us. We're here to keep providing the best service possible.
I really like the scooters and I am in the process of purchasing my third. The distance you get isn't great, but the units themselves seem to work well and they are light and fun to ride. The issue that I have is with their after sale service, mainly shipping. All three have been a nightmare to get. I am now dealing with the draconian practice of not allowing the scooter to be rerouted. If the shipping carrier was more reliable, it may not be such a problem. I was given three different days (first Tuesday, then Saturday, then Monday) the item would arrive which eliminated the option to stay home and wait for it. Plus, some of us actually work and at an office - how 2010. I understand that the item cannot be left on a doorstep, but asking to have it held at an approved FedEx pickup spot where I will need to show my ID before being allowed to leave eliminates almost all of the risk of theft. It is disappointing for a loyal customer to read that if there is a delivery problem they do not help. You need to call the shipper. The irony is, Unagi sets the policy and the shipper will not waver without Unagi's approval so you are basically stuck. They now have an AI interface which is ridiculous given the cost of their scooters. In order to get an email address (not even sure if it works), I had to keep entering Customer Service 15-20 times before I was offered that option. It is sad that they have fallen so far. I am glad I did not put any money down on the newer design they were trying to make and sell for $2K plus. I really like(d) them, which is why I decided to purchase my 3rd Unagi scooter, but the lack of service is disappointing and will ensure that I do not purchase from them again.
