This service was great until it wasn’t

This service was great until it wasn’t. As a landlord I used turbo tenant to collect rent. One day I go to my bank account and turbo tenant had reversed over $2200 of rent payments back to tenant. Apparently without even notifying us the tenant fraudulently filed a dispute on legitimate rent payments through their bank. Turbo tenant reversed the payment with no evidence or documentation from tenant nor us to simply submit documentation in the dispute process. We’ve since evicted the tenant, however turbo tenant was absolutely rude and unhelpful during the process of us trying to file a counterclaim to get the money reversed. Don’t use them unless you like to give away rent free to tenants!!! Also turbo loves to use faulty policies as rationale for why they can’t be helpful at all. As soon as you reach out for assistance, they will spout out some policy and rudely decline to help at all. So I reiterate if you value running a business with integrity and helpful customer service turbo tenant is definitely not the company for you!!

Thank you for sharing your experience and concerns. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you have faced. Unfortunately, TurboTenant does not have control over the dispute process. Our payment processor does not allow us to submit evidence for this type of dispute. We are merely notified of the dispute, and the renter's financial institution is responsible for investigating the claim and determining its credibility. Per our Terms of Use, once TurboTenant is notified of a dispute, we are obligated to reverse funds from the associated landlord account. This was agreed to when signing up for your TurboTenant. We understand that you believe the renter submitted these disputes fraudulently. In such cases, we recommend pursuing legal action against the renter if they are unwilling to return the funds. Please review your state-specific landlord-tenant laws for additional guidance on the appropriate steps to take. We value your feedback and are continually working to improve our services and support. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please contact our support team at [email protected]. Thank you for your understanding.
