Where it started:Rocky changedeverything andI never set out to start a dog food company. My husky Rocky had the worst stomach on the planet. Years of vet visits, prescription diets, and hundreds spent on premium food brands. We tried everything. Nothing worked. So I decided to build it myself. 36 recipe iterations. Countless hours with vets and nutritionists. All chasing one question: what’s the best food we could possibly make for a dog? When we finally got it right, Rocky was the proof. He hasn't been sick in over 18 months. He runs three miles with me every morning. That's the standard every Happy Howl bowl is held to. Nothing less.Colin Buckley– Founder

Good news: picky eating is super common, and most pups just need a little convincing. Here are a few tricks that usually get even the pickiest pups on board. Feeding Tips to Try: -Start small & mix in: Try mixing a small amount of the food with something your pup already enjoys (like their previous food) and gradually increase the amount over a few days -Warm it up: Slightly warming the food can enhance the aroma and make it more enticing in a microwave safe bowl for 10 seconds (NOT in the packaging) -Add a topper: A splash of warm water, low-sodium bone broth, or even a little plain boiled chicken can help spark interest -Stick to a schedule: Offer the food for about 15–20 minutes, then pick it up if your pup doesn't eat. This can help reinforce mealtime routines Hand feeding (short-term): Sometimes offering a few bites by hand can help reintroduce the food in a positive way Sticking to this schedule matters more than it might seem — a slow transition gives your pup's stomach time to adjust, which helps avoid any upset tummy along the way and sets them up for better digestion, more energy, and all the tail wags that come with it. Schedule: Days 1-3: 25% Happy Howl, 75% Current Food Days 4-6: 50% Happy Howl, 50% Current Food Days 7-10: 75% Happy Howl, 25% Current Food Day 11+: 100% Happy Howl Giving your dog time to transition to Happy Howl means you’re giving their body the chance to adjust gently, leading to better digestion, improved energy, and long-term health benefits. I get the variety pack for my pup, and he loves all three flavors. He is a rescue, and his previous owners said they’d feed him in the morning, but it took him all day to eat. I feed him his breakfast of Happy Howl, and he finishes it quickly and is licking his bowl. He is just as thorough at his afternoon meal as well. It is pricey, but for me it’s worth it.

My dog absolutely loves her Happy Howl meals!!!! Gets so excited when she sees the box! The food looks like real food ..because it is…feels good to feed her a healthy option vs the pellets she used to eat. The customer service at the company is also great. Very responsive to any questions etc. Highly recommend.

My only complaint is the shipping times. My recent order, it took 7 days for my order to be shipped out. I had to "ration" my dog's food for a couple days while we waited. With automation built into everything today, 7 days to ship an order is far too long.

Thank you for the honest feedback! We understand how frustrating it must have been to have to ration your pup’s Happy Howl while waiting for the order to ship. 🐾 Please reach out to our Happy Howl Support Team at [email protected] so we can take a look at your subscription and adjust the delivery frequency if needed to help make sure you have enough food on hand between orders.
