The Curly Canvas services only curly hair. I have ten years of experience working with curly hair of all kinds, in New York City, at the Devachan salon. I'm a Devacurl level 3 certified master stylist, which means I completed the highest level of curl expertise. I'm looking to work with any curly haired clients that want to deepen their knowledge of curl pattern care, product knowledge and application, and how to use products with purpose. Or if you just want to have a new curly style. I am available to anyone who needs care, inspiration, knowledge, and experience to make your curls reach their fullest potential.

Lidia explained everything about what she was doing for my curls and why. She explained how to do it at home. I have never seen my curls so pretty! I thought I was wearing a wig .

This is the absolute best hair cut I've ever had. Lidia is so knowledgeable and really took the time to teach me how to take care of my hair. That has always been the missing piece. I'm so thrilled I found her! Thank you for making me love my curls!!!

My daughter was blessed with very thick, very curly hair and I have been trying to manage it unsuccessfully for 12 years now. We have tried other salons, online tutorials, and thousands of dollars worth of products, but have never gotten the results we were looking for. After each visit to a stylist, my daughter would be disappointed or downright upset that she came away with frizzy, uneven cuts that made her look like a Christmas tree going through a wind tunnel. I don’t have curls like her, so I’ve been at a loss about how to help her love her hair. Then I found Lidia. She took the time to listen to our concerns, answered all of our many questions, showed us techniques for maintenance and styling at home (and encouraged us to reach out with any questions we have between appointments), and gave my daughter a cut and style that has her curls looking like something out of a magazine. For the first time, she walked out of a salon with a beaming smile and I feel confident that I know how to help her maintain her beautiful hair. I can’t recommend Lidia enough to anyone who has curly hair, she is like a curly fairy godmother. We will be coming to her exclusively from now on!

We love visiting Lidia for a great curly hair experience! My daughter feels like she has a go-to stylist now for her mane of curls. Before she would want braids but now she always wants her hair out to show off her hairstyle.

The stylist knew exactly what she was doing and my curls have never looked so pretty. She walked me through the steps and even gave me the mirror to watch what she was doing during different parts of the process. Curly hair is hard to work with when you don’t know how to handle it but I walked in feeling confident in her skills and walked out feeling like I can’t ever go anywhere else

This was my first curly cut as my hair has become curly recently. Lidia explained what she was doing and gave very clear instructions on how I can repeat the steps at home!

An amazing experience. Stylist was very friendly and informative. She took the time to review styles and products with me. She also showed me how to maintain my hair on my own. When cutting She kept my goals in mind. Can't wait to go back.
