I have to say that the Tandy leather company has dishonest shipping practices. I ordered 4 conchos equaling less than 2 ounces in weight, being shipped from their Texas facility to the West Coast via UPS, who turned the package over to the USPS. this shipping cost $18.00 - more than the cost of the conchos. I would suggest that folks look closely to see how much they are being charged to avoid this kind of Rip-Off!

I wanted to make a leather travel bag which is at least thirty years old appear more presentable alongside my more modern luggage. Tandy Leather Store #151 in the Denver, Colorado area has an excellent selection of leather care products. Mel was in charge of the store on the day I went there. She offered me the most helpful advice regarding the steps to take for a successful outcome for my project. Thank you Tandy Leather for such an excellent shopping experience!

Bought an on line cow hide to be shipped to friend. Friend at my house yesterday saw same item (hair on cowhide) on my floor. She stated “that’s what I wish I had”. Umm that’s what they sent you. “No, yours has hair on it. Mine looks like it was just printed on”. Totally embarrassed my. Customer service at Tandy wants me to look at back to get product stamp. If they are in the wrong to ship it back. They live in another state. This was a gift to them. I am totally embarrassed by this. I cannot ask them to involve themselves. To ask me to “prove it” is simply appalling. I’m done with Tandy after 30 odd years.

I visited Tandy Leather #14 in San Antonio. The 2 customer service representatives,Michelle and Eric, were excellent! They were so helpful and knowledgeable! I will definitely be using this store more often.

I love the Tandy leather products. So many varieties and colors to choose from. I make a lot of moc's and like to know the local store is carrying good inventory and I am never disappointed!

Store 141 manager is rude and knows literally nothing about leather. Had a complaint against he directed for the state manager(her boss) that did nothing but believe her lies, no matter how many reviews complain about the purple headed witch of the west. Shame since the company seems better run in texas, i have tandy pro tools that I plan on returning as I wont tolerate a 55 years old purple haired teenager to release her unsatisfied sexual frustrations on me. Not ever even getting a snap from them again

Low quality tools, most are not sharp and you have to sharpen them when you get them, but the quality doesn't last and it roughs up your leather. If you want low quality (not recommended), just get tools from China online. If you want good quality (definitely recommended for leathercraft), better to get Japanese tools or expensive artisan tools, it's worth the extra money.

I placed an order with this company in mid October. I got an email on October 29th that one item (the most costly item) was out of stock but the other item would be shipped immediately with the balance to follow in '3 to 5 days'. Payment in full was taken at that time. The balance of the order has not been shipped and three emails to the company remain unanswered. I am now out of pocket by about €100.00 and am resorting to Paypal to resolve it for me.
