3 months ago the solar panel’diodes were replaced by NovaSource (I guess a local contractor for Sunpower). This required the “critter guard” to be removed to access the diodes. The critter guard was installed at my expense to prevent animals from nesting under the solar panels and causing damage. I was promised before work began that the critter guard would be replaced once work was completed. Unfortunately 3 months later, they failed to complete the critter guard reinstallation despite numerous calls to Sunpower and NovaSource. Now, the birds, pidgeons are back doing their thing under the solar panels. I’m very unhappy with this company’s Customer Support and considering various remedies for this problem

Very pleasant experience with Warren Grennan as my technician. He arrived on time to fix my sunpower system for a job that was suppose to take less than an hour, but due to the previous installers subpar work the job ended up being much more complicated. Warren isolated and identified 2 issues with my system, fixed them, set me up with the app and explained how it all works. I was grateful that he went above and beyond to fix the issues himself so that I didn’t have to schedule another appointment! Very happy customer! Thanks Warren!

The SunPower activation of our panels went great. Ryan Kepp arrived early and was courteous throughout the activation of the device. Ryan helped work out a few kinks with the SunPower App and we are good to go. Thanks Ryan.

Ryan Kepp was great and considerate. I didn’t have any issues and it was a smooth transition.

****Update 04/15/23 I received an email from Sunpower on 4/12. Not even 24 hours after this review was posted. In it, they said they finally completed the remote troubleshooting and that I would need to respond to the email to schedule a visit from one of their technicians. I called to schedule and was told someone would call me to confirm a day when they can service my microinverters within 24-48 hours. It has been more than 48 hours and no call. I even asked the person in the other line is this was just another tactic of theirs and she said no and that they were working on it and that it was not going to happen again. I knew this was going to happen. At least they're consistent in terrible customer service. Upon checking my Sunpower app, one of more devices were not communicating properly and was advised to call customer support. I found out one or more of the panels were not communicating properly and was told they would do diagnostics and to let it run for 24 hours and they would call me back with the results. 24 hours later, no phone calls. I call again to find out and I was told that there was a problem with one or more of the inverters and that they would escalate my issue and a technician would be assigned to my case. A week goes by and no phone calls or any sort of emails from them so I call again and was told that the technician that was assigned to my issue had just gotten done with the diagnostics and will contact me asap to tell me what's going on. Another week goes by, now I'm really getting irritated because they tell me that they were just doing some tests and was going to call me the same afternoon. To no surprise, I received no phone call or email from Sunpower. I'm afraid this issue will just keep dragging on. I got stuck with this solar company because the builder of our community has them supplying all the solar panels and service. If I had a choice, I would've gone with a different company for my solar needs. Absolute trash service

I have to agree with others who have expressed frustration with Sunpower, the Sunpower app and their technical support. I had a technician out on March 20th and he spent the entire afternoon on the phone with technical support diagnosing our issue. It appeared as there was a solution and a part was needed to be replaced. I was given a case # and was told that someone would be in touch within 2 weeks. Since that time I have spoken with various persons in the Philippines on 4 separate occasions with the same answer, someone would call me back within 24 hours. After spending $40,000+ on this system that is supposed be the best and to have the best warranty in the business I would assume that they would service what they sell. They do not.

It's been about a month since my review and we've been issued an escalation expert and still have no resolution. Their next step is to have someone come out and see what type of system we have to determine if another inverter would be compatible. We submit weekly emails for an update and have not yet received any definitive answer. Patience has run out.
