Disgusting service. After speaking with 3 different travel agents who all told me I could get a refund on my flight (we cancelled ahead of time because we knew that our flights were going through Wuhan, epicentre of the pandemic). Now 4 months later they have decided to tell me that I won't be getting a refund. I am now losing $3200. Never ever book through student universe. Worst experience of a travel agent I've ever had.

Hi there, we're sorry you feel this way! According to your records, the flight was originally disrupted by an airline schedule change, after which accepted accommodations onto a new flight. This process means that we have to transfer the ticket back to the airline so that it can be exchanged to the new flight. Once this happens, the airline has control over your ticket again—so when you later called to request a refund instead, we could only submit a special request to the airline for one, as we don't have direct access to your ticket anymore. The airline has requested you contact your local China Southern office to communicate with them directly about the refund. If there's anything else we can do to help you communicate with them regarding the refund, we'd be happy to help. We just can't process it directly, as the ticket is no longer under our control and now subject to original fare rules. Hope that helps explain what's happening! Vrry happy with the service. Great follow up on the phone and via email confirmation. Price of fares are just great. On my case 50% off of the regular fares. I recomand without hesitation.

I gave them a month to issue my refund only to be told that my refund was denied and I need to pay a $40 processing fee for my refund. I only found that out because I contacted them. They did not send me an email saying that my refund was denied. I will not be using this service for my next trip.

We see our customer service agents did send you an email advising you of your refund options of either a credit in the full amount of your ticket or a cash refund minus a small processing fee. This fee has been reduced from the cancellation fees which you agreed to upon purchase of your ticket due to the situation with Covid-19.
