Their Best Work Yet — An Outstanding Book Trailer

I’ve worked with StoryReel Studios on promotional trailers for my books, and their latest work for The Ōyama Directive, part of my espionage-thriller series The Kanagawa Files, is easily their strongest production for me so far. The finished trailer exceeded my expectations. The team captured the atmosphere of the novel beautifully — the Japanese setting, the mystery surrounding Mount Ōyama, the action and suspense, and, most importantly, the emotional stakes between the central characters. It feels cinematic and specific to the story rather than like a collection of generic thriller footage. I was also very impressed with the revision process. I requested a few precise changes involving an emotional voice performance, a small AI-rendering issue, and the final promotional card. Each concern was addressed carefully and professionally, and the revised trailer came back exactly where I hoped it would be. As an independent author, presentation matters enormously. The Kanagawa Files is a series deeply rooted in Japan, espionage, relationships, and place, and StoryReel Studios has helped me translate that identity into visual marketing that I’m genuinely proud to share with readers. Excellent communication, excellent work, and a final product I’m extremely happy with. I fully intend to work with StoryReel Studios again when the next Kanagawa Files trailer is ready to be produced. Highly recommended.
