Starwood Pet TravelReviews of starwoodpet.com

First of all, Starwood Pet Travel provided the most detailed proposal for our dogs' move from Colorado to France. We knew exactly what to expect and had options to add additional services if we desired. Second, their team was great at checking in with us throughout the whole process, so we knew what was coming up and what information was needed from us. Third, the actual move went very smoothly, with regular updates on where our dogs were in the journey. Finally, we were successfully reunited in France with only about 36 hours away from each other. We highly recommend Starwood Pet Travel!

A Smooth International Pet Relocation! We had a wonderful experience with Starwood Pet Travel relocating our dog, Astra, from Jersey City to Hong Kong! A special thank you to Ryan Bole, our pet travel coordinator, who was incredibly responsive, kept us updated throughout the process, and addressed all our questions and concerns with patience, compassion, and empathy. Her support made a stressful international move much easier for us. Starwood also coordinated everything efficiently with the different teams involved, including JFK Pets for pickup, SageVC for veterinary arrangements, and Ferndale in Hong Kong. Most importantly, Astra arrived safely in Hong Kong! We’re grateful to Ryan and the entire Starwood team for taking such good care of our little boy and making this journey as smooth as possible. Highly recommend Starwood to anyone relocating internationally with their pets! 🐾

The company was extremely helpful in getting my aunt’s dog to the Philippines. They made the whole process less stressful for everyone involved. The airline coordination could have been better, and there was some additional fee at the end that had to be negotiated from the initial quote. This is the reason for the four stars. Overall, we are happy with the outcome.

Extremely detail oriented and thorough process. Great customer service.

Having a dedicated contact was very important and helpful. It was a very good experience overall, they made the process very easy with timely updates and clear direction on actions that needed to be completed. Very good communication via email and always available by phone.

Starwood did a phenomenal job. My stress and worries were eased exponentially knowing they were taking great care of Maggie. Piper Smith was also great to work with and helped make the process go very smoothly. We greatly appreciate all of the help and will be using Starwood again if needed.

Everyone took great care of us from start to finish. Especially Sarah🇬🇧 who coordinated everything for us. We will be using Starwood again for our next move! Worth every penny. Thanks again everyone!

Paid for premium bedding, got a near-empty crate. Avoid. I used Starwood to fly my dog Stormy from the US west coast to Australia in October 2026. I would not use them again. The crate. I paid extra for Starwood's premium bedding option. When the courier arrived, the crate had little to no bedding in it, and the courier's first response was that he had no knowledge of being asked to supply a crate at all. I ended up putting an old shirt of mine in with her so she had something to lie on for a trans-Pacific flight. Saying goodbye to my dog while scrambling to make her crate fit for purpose is not what I paid a premium relocation company for. The vet check. Starwood tried to have me do her final vet check in Los Angeles, four days before her flight. I live in the Bay Area. No explanation was offered as to why it could not be done locally or on a sensible timeline. The coordinator. My coordinator was on US east coast time. My dog was flying out of the west coast. By the time anything went wrong at my end, my coordinator was offline. No emergency line. Call the main office outside hours and the recorded message tells you to contact your coordinator. See above. I have emailed Starwood requesting a full refund of the premium bedding charge. [As of posting, no reply.] If you are paying this much to move a pet internationally, you are paying for the details to be handled and for someone to answer the phone when they are not. Starwood managed neither.
