Delivery promised on October 12, but not delivered Then they postponed until an October 19 delivery. On the 19th, the plants hadn’t even been packaged, much less shipped or delivered. I think they sold and gave my plants to someone else. The only good thing is that they canceled the order. Let’s see if I receive a refund.

I am so delighted w the Stark Bros service I received today. I have been very pleased with two Apple trees, a Lemon and an Avocado tree that are currently doing well in my yard. I was called by Ashley who has taken care of my Rosemary plant problem and in doing restoring my good opinion of StarkBros! I will contine my purchases from them.

I’ve only ever placed 2 orders with Stark Bros and both times it went south. Do not shop with them! My first order was a nectarine tree and gooseberry bushes. The tree didn’t survive the winter, so I filed a warranty claim that was accepted. Thinking that all was handled, I placed a second order for a few berry bushes. My warranty refund comes in and it’s $12 for a $60 tree. I contact support and they give me the runaround saying that they will correct it soon. Then my second order comes in missing 3 out of the 4 items. I contact them again and they do give me a refund, because all 3 items are actually out of stock. Meanwhile, they keep saying that they will eventually give me the rest of the refund for the tree and eventually just stop responding to my emails completely (what an amazing quality of customer service). I find out that they have a service phone line and decide to call it. The rep is polite, but for some reason can’t get it through her head that the refunds they gave me are for two different orders and the first refund is still incomplete. I give her both of the order numbers, sit there and explain my entire email customer service history, reiterate that the damn tree from my first order costs $60, but I got a refund for $12, and the second refund for the second order has nothing to do with the first one. She says she’ll talk to her manager and who is then supposed to call or email me the same day. As one would expect at this point, I get nothing. Not that day, not the next day, not now. I read another review on Google that mentioned that Stark Bros actually does something in response to reviews here and was considering waiting a bit before filing a chargeback on my credit card, but why should I? I’ve been fighting with them for months at this point and they had so many chances to rectify the issue and stop ghosting me. Last time I dealt with a similar vendor where only a part of the order was causing an issue, my credit card company forced the vendor to refund the entire order, even though I did not ask for that. I’m going to ask for more than I’m owed this time either, but I won’t be upset at the prospect of Stark Bro’s losing more money.

I want to gently push back on one thing, though: our team wasn't giving you the runaround. There was a genuine mix-up in how your two orders' refunds and credits interacted behind the scenes, and while our reps were trying to work through it with you, we didn't explain it in a way that actually made sense - that's on us, not a lack of effort on our end. Very dishonest about delivery dates. The give delivery "weeks" and wait until 7 pm on Sunday to change it. Save your money and go to a company that values your time.

By the time I received my elderberry plant, it was shipped out on a Thursday it sit in the post office distribution center all weekend and but by the time I got it, it was dead with no recovery !

A tree was shipped months after being ordered. The tree arrived in very poor condition and did not survive the winter. The tree was replaced under warranty, but the same thing happened again and Stark Brothers refuses to do anything. It was an expensive waste of time and money.

For context for other readers: our records show the original tree shipped ahead of its estimated date in September 2024. When you reached out shortly after delivery with concerns about the leaves, our team advised that some stress is normal during shipping and to give the tree time to establish. When it didn't survive the winter, we replaced it at no cost, including waiving the standard replacement shipping fee given your prompt report. The replacement tree also shipped ahead of schedule and unfortunately did not survive the following winter. Our guarantee covers one free replacement per original purchase, which we honored, and that is the same policy we apply to every customer. We know that's a disappointing outcome after two trees, and we understand your frustration. First 4 of the fruit trees died before fall, which I understand can happen, but the horrible customer service is why the poor review. Once they received the information and pictures of the dead trees, they agreed to give me a store credit for that amount so I could order new trees. This was in April. What happened after that was no communication and rather than the store credit, they issued a refund to a card that I don't have. It has now been 2 months, now mid-July, without ever receiving the promised call back from a manager in accounting and way too late to plant new trees. Be very very cautious if you order from here, but more so if you have any problems with your order. I should've just just with our local growers.

Ordered in Feb for May delivery. It is now July and they sent me another email saying that my order was delayed until August! Called customer service and they couldn't even give me any assurances that they wouldn't push back the deadline again.. At this rate the plant might get to me in four or five years.. I demanded a refund. Stark Bros have lost my business and I am telling every gardener I know and gardener group I am in about how terrible my experience with Stark Bros has been. Terrible. Impossible. Frustrating and I still don't have my order 6 months after I ordered it. Apparently this is how they run their business. Take your money and never send you plants - just emails with delays.
