Very easy to use, but some participants were not able to activate the video portion of the meeting.

Overall the experience was good. The areas of opportunity for improvement are as follows: -When we are paying extra money for a specialized operator it would be great if that operator had English as their native language. The accent of the operator was challenging for us as leaders to hear and for the participants. -The scheduling was mixed up by no fault of our own. Luckily, Becky Behan came to the rescue and she and I were able to quickly implement intervention to prevent a disaster. We paid entirely too much money for it to have been that screwed up. We as customers did everything we were asked to submit changes and preferences long before the event and the changes and preferences still were not correct until Becky and I intervened. The transcription document was fantastic and we were quite impressed. There were a few typos but overall it was great.

The phone call always goes through and no one has difficulty connecting/joining in like we folks seem to continually have with online conferencing. It works in every building and is equally reliable with cell phones. It is my go-to when video is not needed. The only downside is that sound quality is 1/2 step down from the online calls. Still, I'd rather have that than struggle with connections. Thanks!

Hi Barb and thanks very much for your review! You should not be experiencing sound quality issues. If you have any technical problems during a call, please press *0 (group) or 00 (private) on your keypad, to flag an operator to troubleshoot. Sound issues can stem from attendees using headsets, speaker phones, phone volume turned too high or too low, etc. which the operator can pinpoint and adjust. Web & video conferencing as well as VoIP/online calling is available in conjunction with your conference call account via several platforms. Speakspace is a serviceable teleconference option with some available webconference options that, I admint, I have minimally explored. To log on to the web options requires a few account numbers and pins that may not be immediately available and require “digging”. One issue with the teleconference is that anyone can call in and use your line without the “leader pin” needed (UPDATE: I was educated that this can be set so that doesn't happen) so it may be in use by someone else when you go to use it. It would be best if the teleconferencing had a web based control panel to help you mute participants and control available functions rather than needing to know the phone codes for these functions (eg *23 to mute all, etc) (UPDATE: It can be done on web). UPDATE: Speakspace immediately reached out to me after this review was written. They provided me with some additional information and learning. Very helpful customer service reach-out. Well done!

We certainly do have a web-based interface with control panel, which provides the features you mention in your review: http://www.uccenter.com/#callmanager. Additionally, we have an excellent mobile app, which offers one-touch dialing upon set up: http://www.uccenter.com/#smartmeet. You can also print your calling card via the link on your welcome e-mail, to keep handy in your desk and/or wallet. We are happy to complete the card and e-mail it to you for printing if you would like. We will resend your welcome e-mail shortly. Additionally, I just pulled up your account and see that you have the "quick start" feature on. I recommend we change that to music on hold, to prevent anyone else from starting a call. Best practice is for each account host to have their own account anyway, in order to prevent folks from bumping into each other (rather than sharing accounts). If you could spread the word and have these individuals contact us at [email protected] or call 866-257-1425 (option 2 for sales), we'll be happy to create accounts for them! We are confident that we have the most features and easy/robust conferencing products available on the market today (both domestic & international).
