We did not have a good experience. All they did was telling you the deadlines and what you are required by colleges to do by the deadlines for them to review. All these you can get from your high school college counselor without paying crazy money for it. We were expecting for more than that.

We worked with Cathleen Sheils for our child, beginning in 11th grade. Our child was recently admitted into the chosen Early Decision school (Columbia). Cathleen was excellent – our view of her skill and diligence is not influenced by the very positive outcome. Rather than writing a review that may be influenced by the good news of acceptance, I will paste the message I sent to Cathleen shortly after our child submitted the application to Columbia (and well before the news of acceptance). “Hi Cathleen – A couple of days ago, I read through [student's] Columbia application, almost start to finish. Perhaps like an admissions committee member would read through it. I was so impressed, really with every section. I loved the [Common App Personal Statement], the answers to the supplemental questions, and the various sections really did an amazing job of framing [student] in the best way possible. There was a theme, and it was compelling. And while I was reading through it, I thought of how diligent and thoughtful you have been, starting many months ago. I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. You allowed [student] to put [student's] best foot forward, and it is greatly appreciated, regardless of the outcome.”
