The entire experience end-to-end far exceeded my expectations. It speaks to the sheer volume of work and the genuine listening to customers that went into this business early on and still goes into it today. This was my first time using Softriver for my own business, though I've commissioned branding projects with other companies on behalf of clients. Those usually take several rounds of iteration and refinement. Softriver absolutely nailed it on the first pass. The pre-recorded video Q&A form surprised me too. I expected it to feel detached, but it didn't at all. It was so refreshing not to have to fill out a 100 question form and collate a million pieces of data just to show them what I was after. Couldn't recommend a crew more highly.

Working with Soft River was the best decision I made for my brand. I came in with an idea I thought was fairly well developed, but honestly it was still fuzzy in a lot of places. They took that half formed vision and brought it to vivid life in a way I could not have done on my own. The brand guidelines they delivered were amazing. Genuinely thorough, beautiful, and easy to actually use, which matters when you are the one applying them every day. And the three logo concepts they presented were each so strong and so distinct that choosing between them felt impossible. That is a good problem to have, and it says everything about the quality of their thinking. If you have a vision you cannot quite articulate yet, Soft River will find it, sharpen it, and hand it back to you better than you imagined. Highly recommend.

I was skeptical at first when I came across Softriver, as it seemed on paper to be too simple. I have traditionally engaged high priced design firms to build logos and brands, which takes weeks, and I felt like I was always compromising on the result. I decided to give Softriver a try, to build a logo for our management company. I was totally blown away by their first draft of the logo. They actually read, and understood my brief and created something that was better than I had even imagined. I remember actually bursting out laughing when I saw it, I was so (pleasantly) surprised. I had to go back and fourth with the colour palette a bit, which they happily iterated through. Impressed, I needed a logo for our farm, which is a very precious and personal project. They came up with a draft which missed the mark - I was worried. I sent feedback, and without taking anything personally they completely changed direction and produced an even more perfect result than I could have imagined. The process is simple, non emotional, and the logos are better than anything I would ever expect from a high priced design firm.
