Good customer support. Shipment took some time because it was to Hawaii. They are quick to send replacement parts if something is broken.

I recently had the opportunity to purchase an outdoor sauna from James’s business. While the experience had its ups and downs, I believe it's worth sharing the full picture with prospective customers: The outdoor sauna we received has a decent build quality, but it wasn’t without its issues. The model we ordered seemed not to be perfectly watertight, which was a significant concern. After noticing this, we had to go back and forth with the manufacturer to find a solution. However, once the issues were addressed, the sauna performed well and provided a pleasant experience. James was responsive and professional throughout the entire process. He was always available to answer questions and provide guidance, which was particularly helpful when we encountered problems with the sauna. If lengthy waits and potential issues with watertightness are not a concern for you, this more affordable unit could be a good choice. The sauna has since become a valued addition to our home, providing a relaxing space to unwind.

Thank you for sharing your experience in purchasing an outdoor sauna. You encountered waterproofing issues during the purchase process, which was indeed a big challenge. But I am glad to hear that you were able to communicate with the manufacturer to solve the problem and finally had a pleasant experience. You mentioned that James' professional service and responsiveness were very helpful to you, which is undoubtedly a big advantage. We have also improved the production process and installation methods, and we believe that this sauna will not have leakage problems in the future. Overall, your evaluation of this product is pertinent, pointing out the existing problems and fully affirming the advantages of the product and the manufacturer's service. I believe your sharing will be very helpful to other potential customers, allowing them to make more informed purchasing decisions. Thank you for your valuable feedback!
We had ordered a sauna in April 2023. They did quote us 60 to 70 days for delivery however, it was a lot longer than that. We had a couple issues with shipment and delivery. However, they were very responsive on the email and apologetic. They sent us the missing parts quickly and we were able to assemble it by mid October. The sauna itself is really great! It is made out of high-quality materials and was fairly easy to put together ourselves. It is very visually pleasing and looks great in my backyard. I can’t wait to use it every day !

Overall I had a pretty good experience with Smartmak. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because there was mistake with my order. I ordered a porch and my sauna didn’t come with one. I emailed James and he responded right away and refunded me no questions asked. I read all the previous reviews for the first time about two months into waiting for my sauna and freaked out a bit, but I was quickly reassured by James via email. He provided an accurate estimate of the arrival to the port and a tracking number when I asked. I am happy with the quality of the sauna and luckily I didn’t have any damage with delivery. I also can’t speak to the electric stove but my wood burning stove works great and installed pretty easily. Though I can’t compare them to other manufacturers out there, for the price and responsive customer service, I would personally recommend Smartmak. I will add however that there does seem to be a real issue with possible delays given that it’s shipping from china. And also the directions aren’t great but I was able to figure out with YouTube vids and extra directions from James mak.
