We understand the frustration you've described and would like to provide some clarification. Sleep Doctor and your CPAP supplier/retailer are often separate entities with different roles and responsibilities. While Sleep Doctor may assist with sleep testing, diagnoses, and certain clinical services, the supplier who provided your CPAP machine typically maintains control over the machine records, compliance data, and equipment-related documentation. As a result, there are limitations to the information Sleep Doctor can access or provide, particularly when equipment was not obtained through Sleep Doctor. In many cases, compliance reports must be obtained directly from the supplier that dispensed the device, as they maintain access to the relevant records and data systems. Privacy regulations require patient authorization before medical records can be shared between organizations, which can sometimes add steps to the process even when everyone is trying to help. We certainly understand that navigating multiple organizations can be frustrating, and we appreciate your feedback regarding communication and instructions. Our goal is always to assist within the scope of the services we provide while helping patients understand which organization maintains specific records and documentation. We completely understand that starting CPAP therapy can be overwhelming, especially when dealing with mask fit issues, leaks, pressure adjustments, and disrupted sleep all at once. While there is often an adjustment curve with therapy, we understand how discouraging it can feel when you’re trying to navigate those challenges on your own. We do show that our clinical team reviewed your data, reached out to you directly, left a voicemail, and made adjustments to your device settings to help improve comfort and therapy effectiveness. Recommendations were also provided regarding mask leaks, humidity, and additional options that may help during the adjustment process. A follow-up scheduling link was also sent so you could book a visit at your convenience, though we do show that specific appointment date was selected during booking. If assistance is needed sooner, we absolutely encourage selecting an earlier available appointment whenever possible. CPAP therapy unfortunately is not always an immediate fix, and for many patients it can take several weeks before sleep quality and symptoms begin to noticeably improve. That said, we absolutely understand your concerns and are truly sorry the process has felt difficult so far. Hi Clifford! Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry for any confusion this caused. To clarify, subscriptions are not created manually by our team on the backend—they are selected at the time of checkout. On our website there are two options available: a one-time purchase or a “Subscribe & Save” option, which includes a 15% discount for recurring deliveries. In your case, the subscription was created through the initial order selection at checkout. Once we were contacted, we did respond to your inquiry and processed your request to reverse and remove the subscription as requested.
