Sherwin-WilliamsReviews of sherwin-williams.com

I have repeatedly asked Ronseal/Sherwin Williams to stop sending me marketing emails, but the spam keeps coming. I never signed up for these emails and have never had any dealings with the company. I believe that this is in breach of their data protection obligations. I have expressly asked them to remove my address from their marketing lists and suppress it to prevent further emails. Despite this, I am still receiving unwanted spam. Terrible organisation

Hey… Sherwin-Williams… Stop re-tinting and reformulating your paints! You’re pissing off everybody that wants to do touchups. Stop trying to fix crap that ain’t broken

I have been a customer for over 30 years. I like the quality of the paint, but you can't reuse it. I bought a can of paint in December 2024. It has been stored indoors in a climate controlled environment. There is rust on the paint. It's not even two years old. Other retailers have switched to plastic cans. That is better for the environment than dumping unusable paint because of rust particles. This morning, after the store knew there was a rust problem, I was sold a dented can of paint. The explanation I was given upon calling the store when I got home was the paint is good even though the can is dented. The dent will accelerate the rusting process. When I called customer service line, the employee said "I understand." There was no explanation or apology. This is a sign that their products are not made to be stored and used again, so unless you plan on never having to touch up your walls, don't buy Sherwin Williams

Actually the worst paint I have ever used. Emerald line and Duration line both were utter vomit on the walls. You can see the roller streaks, it's not actually matte like I purchased, there is sheen in what is supposed to be a matte product, and even with multiple coats coverage is poor. The quality years ago used to be good but this is ridiculous. A failing company that makes horrible paint now and all they have to market their products is gimmicky names, old reputation and salespeople that play up the quality of the paints to make a sale. I want my money back!

Painted with duration and i can now say that it is the worst paint I have ever used. It does not wash well, becomes sticky when washed lightly with a damp cloth and paint is peeling off. It’s important to mention that our painter used Sherwin Williams primer on all our walls prior to painting with Duration and still the paint is peeling off . Terrible paint. Will unfortunately need to repaint. Stick with Benjamin More.

Thumbs down on this paint 👎 I read all the reviews on the Emerald urethane trim paint, and I specifically asked at the Sherwin-Williams store and assured that it was a great paint to paint my wardrobe and my cabinets. Both were darker colored wood. I painted my wardrobe first. I did the one coat of primer and two coats of paint like I was told and you could still see the wood in some spots. This was on the wardrobe doors so I had to do a third coat of paint. So for the rest of the wardrobe I put on two coats of primer and still had to put on two coats of paint. I sanded the piece really good first and sanded between every single coat. It has been painted since early May so I figured it was cured enough. I put the doors on and with all the adjusting I had to do the paint chipped anywhere the wood touched with the adjustments. Thankfully I had not done my kitchen cabinets and will not be using this paint. I think it is terrible paint for this purpose. Thumbs down👎

Sherwin Williams is a globalist owned paint company that’s main objectives is to overprice and screw over their long term customers. Behr paint has higher volume solids and is $20 less a gallon.

I’m writing this review in case someone is looking for employment at Sherwin-Williams. A few years back in 2009 and 2020 Sherwin-Williams nationwide canceled their contributions towards retirement. As they did reinstate it eventually, but in 2025 they did it again. It has been four months when no contribution from Sherwin-Williams, has been made nationwide again to any employees. Mind you this is billion dollar company in which my husband works. This is a terrible injustice to the hard-working employees across the nation for this company. So if you’re looking for a position with Sherwin, I would use caution because there has been no insight on when they will bring back their 401 contributions.
