Royal Neighbors of AmericaReviews of royalneighbors.org

The most rude people I have ever tried to call and have a discussion with. Good luck collecting as they are so hateful and rude you cant get a word in on the phone. Absolutely horrible customer service

This company has always been transparent and clear in communications. When my mom passed, they sent their condolences and processed our request immediately. I was kind of surprised regarding turnaround time. I am happy with their service and look to be a member myself.

My father had a small 5K life insurance policy with Royal Neighbors of America, and passed away 32 day before the 2 yr rider ( which he was never told about or was disclosed to him by the agent ) and now it's a cat and mouse game. RNofA states "We want you to sign this doc. so we can get the medical records to investigate it before we pay out the claim." We sign a notarized letter and send it. Now, Exam One ( RNofA 3rd party medical investigator ) wants the same thing. What floors me is (1) He was honest on the application form ; My father was an honorable and honest man. (2) The man died 32 days before his 2 yrs rider was up, so there has to be an investigation to check for fraud ??? (3) What ever happened to full disclosure on the part of the insurance agent on the 2 yr ride ??? Was never stated or explained. If this were a case of where there was a policy bought one day and he died the very next day , I might could see this ; This policy was 32 days away from being fine according to RNofA ... Was a simple 5K policy. It makes ZERO SENSE to me that a company would spend more for a 3rd party investigation than it would be to just pay out the policy and move on to the next fire so to speak. My mother and I had to borrow the money for my father's funeral. The worst phrase you could ever hear a funeral home say after you presented a policy to pay for final expenses is " Sir / Ma'am, We have some bad news, the life insurance company will not be honoring the policy until they have further investigated the death of your loved one." How many other people has this company and their agents sold these policies to and these poor folks make sure the premium is payed every month before they pay any other bills and then when the time comes you only find out that in fact they're not going to honor their end when it matters most ?!?! Tomorrow my father will have been dead for 60 days and We are still no closer to getting the funds to that we can pay off his funeral and close out everything.

At noon PST, I called RN. I decided to wait on hold to speak with someone in person. I was #42 in the queue. 3 hrs and 16 mins later when my place in the queue reached #7, they shut the phones down for the night. I was so angry I was almost in tears. I have a migraine after waiting that long and so I calculated how many times I heard their two messages that were seconds apart over the 3 hrs and 16 mins = 871 times i listened to their messages. Now, I have to call again at o'dark 30 to do it all over again. This is egregious customer service!

I love the company mission and the products the company offers. Becoming a member of the organization allows me access to certain member benefits.

I purchased a term life insurance and got preferred rates. I love that the organization is a non-profit and they do mission driven work.

Zero rating!! They took money from my account for a policy I never got and then told me I had to wait 21 days for a refund. I spent over 2 hours on hold only to speak with some representative named Ashley in the billing department that was extremely rude. When I sent an email, I never got a response. Worst company I have ever dealt with. TERRIBLE

Has a nasty habit of continuing to take money out of your account months after you have canceled the account. When you tell them to remove your payment information, they claim they don't have it, and despite your bank showing they charged you, you weren't charged. I literally have to file a formal complaint with your state and cancel your bank account to keep them from charging you. They also have the worst customer service operators outside of Bangalore. They will tell you you aren't really seeing the charge you are looking at with your own two eyes, and then expect you to be satisfied with their 'assurance' that you will not be charged again. Of course, there is absolutely zero reproductions if her assurance is false, so it means absolutely nothing. This company hides behind unprovable claims of charity and protection of women, but it is literally the most cynical marketing ploy I have ever come across. Dealing with this company makes you want to take a shower after.
