The sitter was great but the app is really poorly designed, unintuitive and badly formatted.

I like the ease of booking with Rover, and all of the sitters have been great. However, when there is a problem/issue, it is difficult to figure out how to handle it.

The website is difficult to navigate. Very difficult to find sitters I may have been interested in before. There is so much variability in the sitter’s service quality. Some have good knowledge of pets and pet care. Others just “like” pets but don’t have the background to be a responsible caregiver. Many of the homes have been very dirty and poorly maintained.

The app is good. Customer support does not answer. Nobody answers on the hotline.

The website is very hard to maneuver around. You’re not allowed to go back and look at your Dog Sitter for particular information like their address or phone number even though you’ve already given it to us plus that we were looking for the original description. You can’t talk to any live person. It’s always through your auto bots. Very frustrating. We have no problems with The Dog Sitter’s but the way Rover does it’s website is very non-personal.

Dislike that you choices close to me are very limited. Also you ask for filters and then disregard the choices. You also need to require your providers to update their calendars more often.

App is okay, but for someone that is not updated on apps, computers. Ect.. it can be a little difficult to understand. Example- Housesitting needs to be that the sitter will come to your home. I actually thought it was for sitting the house at first...lol. also an option for setting up a meet and greet instead of just trying to contact for a sitting. Also i tried to video chat with a sitter and neither of us could figure it out to actually make it work and not be just a black screen and then it would hang up. Needs to be more user friendly with addional options. Also I've had a sitter contact me to not go through Rover and then wanted to use other people to come to my house instead of them. Overall experience with sitters is they need to interact and play, show attention to the animals besides just sitting on their phones all day and ignoring the animals unless they need to take them out. They are there to be pet sitting/ house sitting. And even though I did not complain or mention it in my reviews the pet sitter needs to be respectful of people's home and clean up after theirselves and not just eat all the food and drinks they want- Bring your own if you want to take advantage of it, I don't mind you eating or drinking some of my stuff but don't go overboard. I should not come home to have to clean up your mess when I did not leave my house that way. I come back to expect my house the same way I left it. Date of experience is not actual date because I would prefer not to say...
