I posted a trip and immediately heard from 2 sitters close by. I hired one who did a great job and will likely use him again in the future. The other said she would look at her schedule and get back to me. Never heard from her again. That encounter was unprofessional. But overall, my experience was positive.

Really happy with Nicole. App is easy to use when searching for a sitter. I had a tough time navigating the app when I wanted to find her messages Finally, I was home a day and immediately was receiving texts and emails from River asking for a review and a tip for sitter. I tight that was too much too soon. That left a bad taste mouth

Communication was a 5 with tracking system. Navigation initially was a bit tricky with setting set up; however, that could’ve been me.

I have been very happy with the individuals who have watched my pets. The communication has been great, and the care has been great. The only problem and the only reason I did not rate this a five is the cost. It is high. I had to find a different solution for my pet care needs.

We’ve used Rover several times now and overall we’re very happy with the service. Every sitter we’ve worked with has been fantastic — reliable, kind, and great with our cats. I’d give the sitters themselves a full 5 stars. My only real frustration is with Rover’s search function. It feels a bit inconsistent. Sometimes it doesn’t show all the sitters who are actually available, and running the same search multiple times can give different results. On our last booking, the sitter we wanted didn’t appear in the search at all, so we contacted someone else — and then Rover suddenly suggested the original sitter in a “you may also want to contact…” popup. That left me unsure how the search is supposed to work. So overall: great sitters, great experiences, but the search tool could use improvement. I’d still recommend Rover, just with a little caution when browsing for sitters.

Liliane was wonderful to work with. She made my dog comfortable and happy. She followed up with me several times per day so I could see Rosie in her environment. Thank you, Liliane. The reason I am giving a 4-star rating is that when I returned, I received an email from Rover talking about going around them to pay the pet sitter directly. I did not do that and did not appreciate receiving that notice. The reply I received when I questioned it was that it was just a reminder. Poor timing and not a good experience on my part.

We actually just recommended Rover to a young man at the store who was looking for a dog sitter for the pup he brought with him. Rover's interface is easy to use and they have done a good job vetting the sitters they list. I only have one disappointment, and that is, finding sitters who are closer to us. Otherwise, our experience has been good.

The per sitter I chose was excellent and the payment process went smoothly. You don’t have to pay any fees when you are looking to hire a pet sitter like some other companies charge. I have 4 stars instead of 5 because the advertised price is lower than the price quoted once you select the person you’d like to hire. It appears that they post the amount for their least expensive service rather than the actual service you are searching for which is a bit misleading. It’s probably a glitch in their system, but something they should try to fix.
