RoGallery is a unique force in the art world. We have been an art gallery, dealer, and auction house of over 35 years located in the vibrant Queens neighborhood of Long Island City in NYC. In this time, RoGallery has established its place in the New York City art world as a trustworthy and reputable source of modern and contemporary artworks.The gallery was founded in the early 1980's by Robert and Gail Rogal, who would become an art world power couple. They established themselves initially as limited edition print dealers by buying out the entire inventories of several major art publishing companies. Over the years their keen eye for superb artworks has expanded the collection to include thousands of original paintings, photographs and sculptures. The passion for collecting is still going strong today as we grow the RoGallery collection through purchases and quality consignments.Customers that are within driving distance or visiting New York City are encouraged to visit us at our 10,000 square foot gallery showroom. The gallery is by appointment only. Hours are Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm ET. Please let us know in advance of your visit what artworks you would like to see. Most items are onsite, but some need to be transferred to our location for viewing.

In an attempt to purchase an item I did not get any information until I made a phone call several days later. I was told to be patient the owner did not respond. Weeks later I tried again and no response. If the item is not going to be available why is it in the inventory. There was no interest in giving me a ballpark. I have recommended your gallery to others who have had success.

Fraud. You sell items with stated provenance without any provenance. You promise to send back-up documents; however, you do not follow through. Fool me once...shame on you. Fool me twice...shame on me. I will not be a repeat buyer. Galleries like yours give the art community a bad name.

I bid on a print via "Live auctioneers" (I never had issues with them prior with any of the previous items I purchased) although I was the high bid, another person won the print. The other person was an "absentee bidder- had "left bids" and I was informed, after the sale, "they were priority" (per a rep at RoGallery). As I went back and forth (RoGallery stated it was Live auctioneers issue-Live Auctioneers stated it was the clerks fault at RoGallery...) the rep from RoGallery tried to up-sell me, stating there were more prints of the one I lost. The one I was high bid on was $35.00, the same print / up-sell was for $165.00 I'm thinking perhaps there was unseen reserve to make sure items did not sell too cheap... hence the up-sale.
