Thanks Michael. We’re really glad you like having the sailing score alongside the river data. That was one of the main reasons for building River Water Watch. Gauge readings are useful, but it can be difficult to know what those numbers actually mean for a specific cruise. The Elbe can be an interesting river to watch, so we’ll keep following the conditions as your Berlin to Prague trip gets closer. Hope you have a fantastic cruise.

Thanks Joan. A Christmas Markets cruise on the Danube sounds fantastic. We’re so glad you stumbled across River Water Watch. There is still plenty of time before early December and river levels can change a lot between now and then. We’ll keep watching the Danube for you and hopefully you’ll be enjoying those Christmas markets exactly as planned.

Thanks Donna. We’re glad the updates helped you understand both the current conditions and the history of the river before your cruise. Low water can understandably cause concern, but conditions do change and the cruise companies put a huge amount of work into keeping trips running when the river is difficult. Hope you have a fantastic cruise and everything goes smoothly.

Thanks Geoff. Making all of that river data easier to understand is exactly what we wanted the site to do. There will always be some uncertainty when it comes to river conditions, but having a clearer picture can make the wait before a cruise much less stressful. We’ll keep watching the river for you as your trip gets closer.
