RemootioReviews of remootio.com

I ordered spare sensors for my Remootio on July 15 direct from Remootio , as my previous ones wire broke off. To date I still have not received the product. I believe that first of all the delay was due to USA customs holding the package up, now its stuck somewhere in a UPS warehouse since August 1st. Remootio are refusing to send me another one out even though they have taken my payment for this and shipment cost until they receive the other one back from UPS or I receive it. It’s an impossible situation. This is terrible service, great product but a gamble if you purchase anything direct from them as they will take no responsibility or action if you don’t receive it.

As a gate installer, we used Remootio for a while but had ongoing issues with devices dropping offline and losing cloud connection. This led to repeated customer complaints, and getting proper technical support was difficult. We’ve now switched to GatEvo (UK) and the difference is clear — stable connection, installer-friendly setup, and real support from people who actually understand gate automation. If you’re an installer looking for reliability and proper support, GatEvo is a much better choice.

Installing to a B&D roller door, reached out to Remootio Support for assistance in the wiring who not only didn't help but sent help about something else. I reached out a second time and was told that they cant assist with b&d roller door installation.

geo fencing doesn't work!! the only reason I bought it!! but too late to return via amazon.. app notification tells me the gate has been open for 5 minutes when its closed straight after opening. why o why do you screw the device together from behind and then fix back, so you cannot reopen it without destroying the fixing pads... they say you can power it from the gate controller how? without another card or different lead? Constantly stuck out in the road whilst the internet wi-fi connects..... eventually connect then states cannot open gate as already been opened .... but it hasn't and I can't even let myself in... without my gates separate gate fob... strangely it all worked ok when first fitted even the geo now its not!! its as if a new update was downloaded and messed it up. factory reset has not helped... A potential great product but has a major failing the geo is a must..

This product performed exceptionally well and was easy to install. I mounted it on the primary gate to our business without any difficulties and even ran a 150-foot Cat5 cable without any issues. However, I must mention that this product has no customer service or support available. Despite attempts to contact the manufacturer via email or phone (NO CONTACT NUMBER), there was no response. Consequently, if you have any questions or encounter any problems with the product, you will have to resolve them on your own.

Tried to order the remootio 3 from their website and payment was denied twice. Went to my account to see why and there were 6 charges from remootio on it even though my payment was denied twice. WEBSITE IS A SCAM!!!!

I purchased the Remootio 3 a bit over 18 months ago. Pretty much from the beginning it never worked properly, Issues ranged from annoying to major security risks. Annoying issues include it CONSTANTLY connecting and disconnecting from Bluetooth even though my phone was only 10 meters away sitting on a bench. Due to this I have left Bluetooth permanently disabled. Bigger problems included it not opening when you enter the inner perimeter, so you have to manually open it with the app. Once I drive into the garage, I manually close the door, only to have the door auto open by itself 10 minutes later as the app has only just detected me entering the inner zone. This scenario has occurred at least 4 times. The major security issue is it has opened the garage door on 6 or more occasions about 5 to 20 minutes after I have left home and am between 8 to 25 kms away, if I had not heard the app notify me the door had opened then my door could have remained open all day while at work. I have contacted tech support many times with this major issue, sent log files at least 3 or 4 times, with zero resolution. I requested a replacement or refund multiple times each time the request was ignored. All they respond with is suggestions I have already tried or to tell me no one else has this issue. Do to this major issue the auto open is now disabled and the Remootio is now just a very expensive manual door opener. Below is one of my emails to them from last year. Hi, Just to let you know once again my garage door opened 10 minutes after we left and when no one was home. On Saturday Feb 19th at 12:37:23 my wife and I both left together. Sat Feb 19 12:37:23 2022 - Phone is not inside the auto-open zone Sat Feb 19 12:37:23 2022 - Left outer circle Sat Feb 19 12:37:23 2022 - Left inner circle Then 10 minutes later when we were about 8 kms away at Aldi I got a notification on my phone that the door opened. Sat Feb 19 12:47:18 2022 - Auto open successful Sat Feb 19 12:47:15 2022 - Phone is not inside the auto-open zone Sat Feb 19 12:47:15 2022 - Left outer circle Sat Feb 19 12:47:15 2022 - Left inner circle Sat Feb 19 12:47:13 2022 - Entered outer circle Sat Feb 19 12:47:13 2022 - Phone is inside the auto-open zone Sat Feb 19 12:47:13 2022 - Executing auto open via internet ... Sat Feb 19 12:47:13 2022 - Entered inner circle The above information is 100% wrong we were not home and there were no phones at home with the Remootio app installed. Sat Feb 19 16:14:37 2022 - Remootio operated from within the auto-open zone Sat Feb 19 16:14:07 2022 - Remootio operated from within the auto-open zone Sat Feb 19 16:13:39 2022 - Phone is inside the auto-open zone Sat Feb 19 16:13:39 2022 - Executing auto open via internet ... Sat Feb 19 16:13:39 2022 - Entered inner circle Sat Feb 19 16:11:56 2022 - Entered outer circle We arrived home at 16:13 Remootio claims it executed an auto open at 16:13 this is not correct the door did not open. I executed a manual open at 16:14 via the app. Due to this happening once again I have no choice but to remove the Remootio and not use it again as it is a serious security risk. I am not happy at all with the operation of the Remootio, and I am very disappointed that you will not offer a free replacement.

The device works ok but the interface isn't setup as well as other products and the unit can only control one door. Other products can control multiple doors for the price of one unit. This is also more expensive than most other brands. If you want to return your purchase you need to pay shipping back to Hungary, which was not mentioned anywhere on their site. The shipping costs more than the unit. Do not recommend.
