We would like to clarify that the Rapid Radios G1 model is not waterproof, while our newer RAD1 model is designed with waterproof capabilities. Since the RAD1 was released more recently, we’re not certain which model you received, and we would be more than happy to confirm that with you to ensure the product specifications match what you were expecting. Regarding the $50 annual service fee, this fee is included with the first year of service at the time of your initial purchase. The renewal information is disclosed on our website within the product description, specifications section, and FAQ page so customers are aware of the annual renewal requirement after the first year. If there was any confusion surrounding this, we sincerely apologize and would appreciate the opportunity to clarify it further.
