The timer stops at 30 min on cook and 50 on steam....I have to stay close to reset time if it needs to cook longer. There should be a way to increase the time when cooking starts. I ordered the xl and got the basic. I did not realize it until my mother ordered one and she got the xl. Hers is much different than mine.

t Even the older model should suffice for most households- fast meals, soups and stews with an ease of cleaning impossible to reach company

After watching the commercial on TV, I was super excited to try this product. Shipping took over 2 months to get to me, so I was disappointed in that. Also, the cook times depicted on television do not take into account the amount of time that it takes to pressurize. However, I have cooked whole, frozen chickens, roasts, and many other meals that would have taken hours in the crock pot. If I could change one other thing, it would be more of a cooking guide. I was trying to cook pasta (5 minute pasta was advertised on television, which was partially why I purchased this product.), but couldn't find a recipe for just pasta.

You should get the pressure cooker, because your family would love it, and it is endless what you can do with it. you can do more with it than your grand parents did with the older pressure cookers.

This thing is incredible! No more pressure cooker, rice cooker, crock pot and hot oven. I can cook just about everything in one pot and it comes out better than ever. Even my chicken and rice recipe didn't really need any tweeking other than making it all in 20 min with "frozen" chicken breasts. I can decide at the last few minutes what we want for dinner and whip it up quickly. I'm ready to move on to breakfast recipes now. Bought one for my daughter, a newly wed and she uses hers more than I do. I tend not to cook as often but am starting to for health reasons. This thing is amazing and well worth the money.

i guess it does what little stuff it can do, but, it is not worth the price, I will not recommend it to anybody

I need more receipt on different dishes. We are a family of 2 and there were no receipts on how to cook different dishes. So I am disappointed with that issue
